I figured this would be a fun little discussion/semi-forgotten history type of deal. Inspired by this tweet by Matt Cardona: twitter.com/themattcardona/status/1592181768802689028?s=46&t=G8JqzIVbdulHspf7PDoe7AI had completely forgotten about the Hype Bros. I feel like most people who watched way back when would remember Hawkins and Ryder as the Edgeheads. Of course, Hawkins and Ryder got a triumphant tag title win at Wrestlemania several years later. Speaking of Hawkins, after Zack became the Woo Woo Woo guy, Curt ended up joining Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft as The Dudebusters in FCW. When Trent and Crofty were called up, Hawkins eventually resurfaced in a tag team with the INTENSE Vance Archer for a few months in 2009. He wore bright red pleather pants. There was also the tag team with Tyler Reks that broke up as soon as they made it out of NXT Redemption. While we’re at it, we can probably include Trent in this discussion, as he’s likely more known for being in Best Friends (and maybe even RPG Vice if you followed NJPW a few years back). The Dudebusters, Caylen Croft, and the fact they beat Call of Duty 4 in one day are long forgotten. Which wrestlers do you remember who were well known for being part of a certain tag team but were also a part of a lesser-known team?

Christian will always be remembered for E&C but I also enjoyed his brief tag runs with Jericho and Lance Storm in 2002.

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Then the forgettable short lived team of Peyton Royce and Lacey Evans.
Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil as the short lived Slater Gator team. Both had much more memorable teams with Rhyno and Darren Young respectively.

Before American Alpha, there was the tag team of Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger. They did very little of note from what I recall.

The Rock and sock connection and Brothers of destruction are the type of teams even the most casual of the attidude era fans can remember. Rock and Undertaker are the type of team even the most hardcore fan forgets were tag champions.
Mankind and Kane were also a team for a bit.

Both had much more memorable teams with Rhyno and Darren Young respectively. That team was during a period where I really wasn't watching much but I guess maybe they could've got over as an odd couple team. However it felt like they never had a chance to as they then quickly shifted gears to Lacey wanting to bang Ric Flair to piss off Charlotte so instead of focusing more on them as a team it just become them pushing Lacey as a singles star again with Peyton as her sidekick. I also thought it was so dumb how they apparently split the IIconics up because they had high hopes for Peyton as a singles star only to then put her right back into another team like two weeks later.

Kofi had a forgettable tag championship run with CM Punk.
Miz & Big Show were champs at one point and I think of him more with John Morrison...who was also in MNM.

Kofi had a forgettable tag championship run with CM Punk. Also, one with Evan Bourne as AIR BOOM. They dropped them at a house show very shortly after winning them because Bourne got popped.

Then there was the Kofi/R-Truth team, which I only remember because a)Team Hell No won the titles from them and b)Because of that they made it into 2K19 with a team entrance.

Before Montez Ford came in, Angelo Dawkins has a brief NXT team with Sawyer Fulton.
Bradshaw and Barry Windham as the New Blackjacks before the APA and after Windham’s NWA and WCW teams.
I kind of remember Bradshaw also teaming with Taka Michinoku for a hot minute.
