Enjoyed his work in AEW but do think he's better suited to WWE, particularly with Triple H in charge, so good luck to him. It's great that people have options now in wrestling.

Regal: I get to go back to AEW the next time an insane man goes on a rampage while eating baked good at a press conference.
HHH: Pssh, no way that can happen twice..r-right?

Good for Regal for doing what is best for him but I can't say I'm not bummed to see storylines involving him derailed based on how hard it seems for any story in the company to get back on track following an unexpected detour.
I will say that I'm not looking forward to MJF implying Regal is setting the table for "The bidding war of '24" complete with overwrought wink at camera.

The whole hush hush thing about it is weird, but it seems like he got the release as long as he's not an on screen performer during the duration of his AEW contract?

I'd be interested to know how Regal got out of his AEW contract. Whether there was a clause in there that allowed him to walk under certain circumstances or if he came to an agreement with Khan and it was a mutual thing.

Regal walks into NXT and is like, "Who are all you people, why is it so horny, and what the bloody hell is an Iron Survivor match?"

All of the reporting is very vague about the how he's leaving. Lots of "folks in this company believe this" type stuff. That tells me TK/Regal have an agreement to keep some of that to themselves for now and they're both holding that up so far.

Well if nothing else I'm glad I got to hear him on commentary again. He might be one of the few good authority figures but he's still wasted in that role.
I'm talking on-screen of course which I think may end up being the key fact here in the contract situation. He was just an onscreen talent in aew whereas WWE would be a more official backstage role, doesn't need a hhh clause as such, just the option to leave if offered such a position. Might mean he can't appear onscreen for wwe for a certain period.

EC3 was interviewed on the Wrestling Outlaw Podcast and according to him, Regal said he “immediately regretted his decision to join and that there was “an immaturity level within management.”
Can’t imagine who he could be referring to there.

What does Spongebob Square Ass know about William Regal?

I find it pretty hard to believe a consummate pro like William Regal would be suddenly gossiping about shit to EC3 and then said "Yeah, go ahead and post it to the world.".
Fairly plausible Regal and TK just came to an understanding and there's no ill will at all.

And then EC3's belly burst like John Hurt's chest in Alien and Austin Aries came running out of it.

Genuinely believing something EC3 said about William Regal of all things to take a swipe at The Elite is probably the best example of that "Elite Derangement Syndrome" that people said is floating around. Like seriously, how can you actually read that and take it as fact? It's EC3, a man who has never talked about being close with Regal in his life lol

Brian Pillman Jr. had a good Twitter response to a reporter overnight that inferred it was sometimes like 10 folks who would go to Bryan and Regal’s class and sometimes it was Wheeler, him and Lee Johnson.
That said, if only 10 ppl are taking him up on training, that makes me think, too.

That said, if only 10 ppl are taking him up on training, that makes me think, too. Was about to post this was in response to Justin LeBarr but it was a good discussion. Between that, and some other reports it does seem like the chemistry wasn't there with Regal and the AEW locker room... and that will happen. Having listened to Regal's podcast (which is very good) and having heard advice he has given young guys on there... I can probably guess where the advice is not kindly taken. Doesn't mean either side is in the wrong either mind you. But reading enough things it just seems like there's just different visions
