I like the look of the new belt but a year long reign of, "You guys hate WWE, right? Boo WWE!" sounds absolutely f***ing atrocious.

It works because MJF is a tacky asshole who pretends to be classy in an effort the shroud the fact that he's a violent sociopath underneath the surface.

Even if the reign was that long I can't see him leaning on that, he's only really brought the WWE thing up a few weeks at a time, he knows it'll get stale if he uses it too much But moreover the way he was talking up how long his reign would be, I almost see it ending quicker than any of us think.

I dig it. If you look close, you can see the plaid, but otherwise, it's just "Pretty Platinum" with brown straps, which, is fine. I am pretty sure MJF called it that, right? Or was that a Cody-ism, "Pretty Platinum"? I think Cody called it Big Platinum right?

I was hoping it was a Boo Berry Belt. But I suppose that’s not Berry practical.

I think it was during his first Mox feud.

Turned this off about halfway through. I've never found any of MJF's promos compelling whatsoever. Aw c'mon. White trash fans, mid, bidding war of 24, better than you! It's such good shit!

He said a lot more than that during this promo, I get people want him to stop with it, but he hadn't said anything WWE related for months, and had and has been cutting very compelling promos, especially in the lead up to the Mox feud, some of his best It really bugs me when people try and condense a dude's promo work like this because he brings up a topic that pisses people off sometimes. His promos are for the most part very good shit imo

The whole promo was just, meh. Not merely the WWE parts.

He's had some promos like that but imo this run he'd been on until specifically tonight had been some of his best work, and he didn't really have to rely on any of those things as a crutch I suppose that makes it a bit frustrating when he defaults back to them, but he's more than proven this isn't all he does.

The belt is awful and I love it. As others have said, it looks more brown than Burberry.
Everyone notice the Better Than You pinstripes on his suit?
The WWE stuff sucks and I hope they stop.
Otherwise, this was a masterclass of promo work, as usual

I was kinda hoping for a whole new plate with maybe his grinning face on it or something or his lion insignia, but that'd have been pretty time and money-consuming. The strap alone is more subtle than most custom belts, but I like it because it's a throwback to the different kinds of IC title straps and Warrior's colored straps during his run.

Did Regal at least explain why he sided with MJF in the first place before MJF laid him out? That seems like a bit of a plothole that's been missed (unless I've missed it somewhere else).

Yeah IDK why these other promotions don’t seem to get that reference WWE in this way, makes them look worse? ...why? I mean, I hear this all the time and nobody has really made a good case for it. Like, yes, TNA made a lot of references to WWE but what made them bad was the context they would be used. They're the biggest wrestling company in the world and have been for the past 21 years. You can't exactly just ignore their existance.

Personally, I thought this was MJF's weakest promo in months. I'll probably get yelled at for this, but I enjoyed Jade's promo more (apart from the shitty ending with Bow Wow)

He wants to work somewhere else and is the champion and wants to take the belt over there. Boo that man! Taking it as anything else is astronomically weird to me, even if people are bored with it.

This segment was absolutely perfect.
MJF is the best heel in the business. Because he doesn't try to be cool. He is just a dispicable piece of work. And he keeps the character alive outside of TV which most wrestlers don't.

Yeah, I don't like it being inferred that what I'm watching is inferior to something else, even if the heel is saying it. It's boring and cheap and MJF is better than that.

Honestly, that’s people adding subtext to the text of the segments. He’s using his success to try and have leverage and now he has the world title, he’s got more leverage. If you think that’s what’s being inferred, frankly that’s entirely on you.
