The picture being painted here is that Punk has the petulance of mid-90's HBK, the ego of Hulk Hogan, and the leadership abilities of The Undertaker. When reached for comment, Mr. Punk noted "Wrestler Court is a relic of a horrible, toxic age in our industry and what we're aiming for here is actually more of a Wrestler Tribunal."

Bringing Ace Steel back and giving him back pay to appease Punk is just embarrassing lol I kinda dig how worse the story seems to become with every detail released, like I'm guessing the next tidbit is Steel was welcomed back with a cake with "The Elite are Bitches, lol" written across it. And, yes, there's a bite already taken out of it.

Bringing Ace Steel back and giving him back pay to appease Punk is just embarrassing lol And it makes the fact Punk's apparently taking Steel not being allowed in the building out on Daniels to be so much worse. You got your boy back pay for the period he was fired. In what universe is that not a win big enough to chill out?

They could give this man a trillion dollars, a daily parade, every show having nonstop commentary about how cool he is and what a great leader he is and how he's the greatest ever to do it, Hangman and the Elite fired forever and constantly mocked on AEW TV, additionally all his enemies fired, a trillion more dollars, and every random thing he ever wanted and he'd still be bitching to SI and post show crowds like "they're doing me wrong and ain't shit been done about it. f*** Hangman."

But instead of voting them off the island, we’re banning them from the building and passive aggressively shit talking them online”

The only Wrestler's Tribunal I will accept is if Vivec, Almalexia, and Sotha Sil became wrestlers.
The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

If you have star power you're allowed to ban co-workers from the building that's just common sense Starting to wonder if some of his resentment of Miz came from Miz being allowed back into the WWE locker room after he'd been banned by Benoit & Company... I mean probably not cause Taker was the one that let him back in the Locker Room.

Punk doesn't care if he hurts your feelings, but god forbid somebody hurts his, he'll cry about it for 2 decades.

C M Punk is thin skinned, petulant and holds grudges. Excellent leadership material.

Punk doesn't care if he hurts your feelings, but god forbid somebody hurts his, he'll cry about it for 2 decades. Yeah "he expects a lot from others around him" but he expects people to meet his own random criteria that only he knows about so the most innocuous action can set him off. He then doesn't hold himself to the same standard. It's like "do as I say not as I do" taken one step further -"do as I think not as I do".

…I don’t care if I’ve already said it in this thread, I’ll say it again, I can’t believe I cheered for this guy over John Cena.

Paul's interview really feels like he's talking about an entirely different person that we've seen and keep reading reports about
Yeah he sure let Ryan Nemeth know he had a problem, and then instead of letting it go he banned him from a show apparently, couldn't even be in the building for it, that doesn't sound like someone who wants to communicate his feelings or run a business, he's not being "controversial", he's actively causing problems. The Nemeth incident wasn't even about something in ring they had a disagreement on, or a face to face argument... it was a tweet calling him soft. A TWEET. Got a man banned from a show he was likely to make a payday on. And he wasn't alone.
There's a difference between having a polarizing attitude and rubbing certain people the wrong way and what CM Punk is doing. Most people actively can't ignore him or get into a serious problem with him, or they get booted from a show they should be on, or he keeps poking at them when they themselves actively try and let shit go and move on, he is actively putting people into situations where there is literally no compromise to his weird fluctuating attitude.
No one is denying Punk has star power, or can draw, or brings ratings in, or whatever. He has proven he can still be a wrestler, his issue is he seems to have a very hard time being a normal, calm human being who can exist with other human beings that look at him weird. And that's gonna keep being an issue until one person decides to change that attitude, CM Punk.

Its hard to escape a sense that the money, big push, and spotlight is almost a means to end for Punk to get what he really wants; the elder statesmen role in a wrestling company that he can personally lead. The history of deeming himself a locker room leader, the clashes with the EVP's, the strong power he evidently has over Collision; it all feels like the pattern of someone that wants the Dusty/Jarrett/HHH position of talent/boss.

He didn't go talk to the Elite or Colt, he threw a fit in public instead of talking to the people he was bitching about. And there's his shit with Hangman, where he'll talk crap on him in front of thousands, but won't speak to Hangman's face, and he thinks a text is a good enough apology when he's doing it.
