This next one is probably the trickiest question I have for you. Similar to Hollywood, wrestling is a business of stars. That also means big personalities and at times clashes of personalities and their opinions and interests. There has been much talk in the wrestling business about the dislike and disagreements between some of your big stars, especially CM Punk and members of The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page) that led to a reported physical altercation last year. Some are concerned about what that means for locker room morale and AEW overall. These stars will all be in London after their infamous run-in last year. How do you see your role in managing such tensions? Do you leave these things to the wrestlers to sort out or do you give any guidance or step in and draw a line?

TK: " The most important thing to me as the CEO is the wrestling fans. I’m a huge wrestling fan, and I try to think like a wrestling fan. I want the best wrestlers here in AEW. I want the best roster. And there may be some of them that don’t get along with each other backstage or on TV. It’s not ideal, but it’s a reality, and I can’t make everyone get along. I’m not sure it’s necessarily even in the best interest of pro wrestling for everybody t get along. But ideally, everybody is going to be able to focus on their matches and putting on the best shows for the fans. And I think that’s what we’ve been doing. We’ve had really strong ratings. So even though … wrestlers backstage hate each other and don’t want to be friends with each other, I think we all agree this is a really exciting time for the company. And it’s a really exciting time for the wrestling business and for the wrestling fans.

There are a lot of people around here who think they’re the best. And I think a lot of them have a valid claim that they’re the best. And what I’m trying to do is to create an environment where everybody can go out and prove it multiple times per week and create a platform where the fans can decide who the best wrestlers are, what the best rivalries are, what the best matches are. As long as I can keep the top talent in AEW, we will have the best matches and the best big events. The lineup of wrestlers competing on AEW All In is the strongest group of talent we’ve ever assembled on one show, it features some of the biggest matches in the history of this company, and I think it’s going to be one of the greatest days ever in pro wrestling this Sunday."

You can tell TK mostly cares about making money and ratings even if its at the expense of the locker room environment, he now has a competent PR guy in Hopkins who can help him clear up his mess

Feels like the only way you get fired from AEW is if you beat up a woman(BJ Whitmer) or if you are racist(Willie Urbina) and thats excluding the Speaking Out sht.

It's impossible to take a random group of 100-200 people and have them all be friends. People are too different for that.

But everyone needs to be professional enough to work together. That's what Khan needs to insist on.

He sounded confident in that interview, so confident that he feels an event like Brawl Out wont happen again because of whatever docs Punk signed before returning, Hopkins in now helping PR and Mox, Jericho and Danielson now having power.

Yeah, not everyone's gotta be friends or even like each other. Personalities are going to clash and it's inevitable. But you have to insist on mutual respect as professionals. Wrestling relies way too much on trust in the ring to not do that.

Like, realistically not everyone in the locker room will get along. Ego, differences in personalities, petty shit, etc. BUT, that doesn't mean you can't down right insist on people being professional with one another. I think that is the problem right now with shit like Punk "banning" people from Collision or people being passive aggressive to others in interviews and having that crap carry into the locker room. Curb that shit and the company will be the better for it. Insist on people in interviews to steer conversations away from people they don't like or giving them canned answers to questions like that. Fine or suspend people when they start "shooting" on others on social media. AGAIN fine and suspend people that use the after show mic time to bury people *cough Punk cough*. I think that is the VERY least you can expect from these people Tony.

Its fine not having everyone get along but when it has gotten so bad that the on screen product regularly takes a backseat to the off screen bullshit even to those not in this type of thread, you've got a real problem. You're creating a divide between two shows and two groups of people with no potential outcome besides both shows eventually doing worse.

Wouldn't you rather nip this shit in the bud and focus on not only being the best promotion out there but... competition instead of eroding from the inside? Just a thought?

Well, tonight Dynamite and Collision are filmed in the same building on the same night so there's going to be a lot of awkwardness and tugged collars when certain parties pass each other in the backstage area as he's lost his "send em home" privileges for one night.
