Again, the only reason we even know about the glass story is Punk leaked it to the dirt sheets to try and make himself look a good guy because he'd buried Hangman again in a promo to the crowd and realised it had gone down badly. That's the only reason we're aware it happened. People accusing Perry of bragging about using glass or trying to use it to boost his career need to remember that. CM punk 100% definitively started this by leaking it to the media. Should Perry have just ignored punk? Yeah he should have. But I can understand it if he was angry at Punk, not everybody can do what Hangman does and completely rise above punks pathetic pettiness. If Punk gets blamed for starting it, Perry deserves equal blame for stirring the shit on the company’s largest show ever. I don’t think he should get a pass, tbh. He may mature and learn, but he still f***ed up too. |

Perry shouldn't have made that comment, Punk shouldn't have leaked the glass story. It's the kind of situation where the solution should be to yell at them both, then sit them down to talk it out and overall just be more of a hardass on people doing this kind of stuff. It's in the ways it got physical and who the blame for that is being put on where I think this loses that evenness. If they have a shouting match backstage, people step in to break it up, and then the public stuff gets addressed, this isn't as big a story as it is right now. There's stuff they both share blame and deserve disciplinary action for, there's just also then. The other stuff. As far as maturing and learning, I do hope that Perry comes out of this better and someone talks to him. That he eases up on the attitude a bit and just overall does better, because being an antagonistic dick live on TV is dumb no matter who does it and he's not feuding with Punk so these comments are an unproductive mess. Punk's beyond the point where he's gonna mature so I don't have much hope for him. |

Perry is an idiot for saying that on TV. Punk is an idiot for apparently leaking the story and being the aggressor backstage. Nobody looks good in this at all, but only one of them has a looooooong history of drama in AEW.
And I am so amused that if Punk hadn't been able to get it together in time to open the show, it would have been Kenny Omega and Hangman f***ing Page riding to the rescue to save the day and cover for it.

I'm still tickled that Punk immediately leaked the story that it was all Jack's fault, and then Miro said nah, and the truth had to come out.
And it was all Punk's fault for instigating it because he had to leak the glass story to make himself look good after he shit all over Hangman again.
How can anyone not look at this dude and see a clown?
I also like that Jack stood up to CM Punk's bullying bullshit.
Punk's one of those dudes who can treat you anyway they want, but the minute you fire back they go "OH MY GOD HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO ME?!"
It's all the more amusing when it's the SAME EXACT SHIT PUNK HIMSELF DOES. And not even as bad as Punk does it.
What Punk said about Hangman was a million times more unprofessional and uncalled for than "Cry me a river".

And all of this is f***ing, magically, amazingly, somehow, because of that Hangman comment! It's still all domino effect shit from the Hangman comment! If Punk doesn't make that comment, we don't hear the report that Hangman was pushed out of the venue, which means we don't hear about the other people actually pushed out of the venue, which means Punk doesn't try to make himself look like a good leader with the Perry story, which means we don't have the All In situation. Everything keeps happening because Punk is still tryng to save face after an off-show comment about f***ing toy sales. None of this chain reaction goes down if he just didn't get mad about the Hangman signs. |
