Damn... I was hoping the Punk/Miro confrontation would be revealed to be they had a sexy lingerie pillow fight in the back. I don't the AEW locker room is worse than the wrestling's before it got very corporate in the 2010's. Dirt sheets existed then and there were -Fights all the time -Xpac crapping in other people's bags/food -Shawn/Bret taking shots at each other on TV for a full year -Arrests -JBL assaulting Blue Mean in the ring -JBL bullying and fighting announcers -The Lita/Edge/Hardy saga -Muhammad Hassan getting bullied en masse -Sid stabbing Arn -Marty Jannetty -Hogan changing main events during shows -general racism -Kat flashing her boobs on PPV -Mae Young flashing her boobs on PPV -The Bulldogs and the Rougeaus fighting weekly for a near calendar year -etc etc No, TK is not worse at keeping a locker room under control than Vince or Bischoff. I would argue the fact he's willing to suspend his top guys for these incidents shows he's better. Most of the things I listed didn't actually end up getting punished. The Punk stuff (while immature) gets more attention because of the social media era we live in. I for sure understand this argument. WWE was no bastion of sainthood. It's just to me the difference is that WWE had assholes beefing but few incidents seemed to arise from the inmates running the asylum. Nobody thought they were in charge over Vince. In AEW, it feels like Punk gets in incidents because he feels like he can boss around others because TK doesn't rule with an iron fist. |

All things considered, I’m kind of amazed that Punk and Joe had that good of a match after Joe had to convince him to go out there. I think Punk probably realized how bad he did not want to f*** Joe over on this and how much trouble awaited him if he did. That said, having enjoyed the Joe and Punk match, I kind of want to go rewatch it knowing what happened just moments before. Shit like the Hogan ear stuff might feel different now. I mean, there is a reason they chant "Joe is Gonna Kill You." |

If I am ANY member of The Elite, I am giddy and pissing myself with laughter at this entire clusterf*** from top to bottom.
They just signed new deals which means they undoubtedly are now set for life (if they weren't already), THEY work on the show that actually draws ratings, and if, somehow, AEW goes under and this is just the beginning of the end (I doubt it, but thinking worst case scenario), the WWE will throw them another fat stack of cash for a year or two.
All because they wisely kept their mouths shut and stay out of Punk's meltdown radius.

I've unfortunately lost... something... for both Danhausen and Brody King out of all of this.
Also, I've heard TOO many reports that Joe is the one who talked Punk into the match, so Joe being giddy as a schoolboy in his match is even more hilarious because he basically just did the ol' "fist tape" special 10 minutes beforehand.

You know when you were at school and there was a group of cool kids that did lots of stuff together and made sure everyone knew how good buds they were, the amazing times they had together, and all of the in-jokes they had? There were always lots of friend groups that also had great times, but only one group that was obnoxious about making sure everyone else knew?
That's the energy Punk, Danhausen, and Brody give off.
