I think it's really too late to even begin to salvage Rampage at this point. It works fine enough as a disposable death slot B show but I don't think it's ever again getting anywhere close to the 600,000 or so it was routinely doing a year ago.
They might've had a chance if they'd come out swinging once they got out of the constant preemption season but it's just continued to be utterly irrelevant.

The show is booked as if it doesn’t matter.
Why should anyone care?

Just rebrand the show and make it the b bshow under the Elite.
It's current format is done and dead and you have the roster to do it

Other than Punk’s return, was there a single instance where Rampage was important?

Doing these type of numbers when they will be negotiating a new TV deal shortly makes Tony's approach to Rampage even more bizarre.

Can’t say I’m surprised, the card was dire on paper and friggin QT Marshall has no business main eventing a televised show.

Sounds like all those times the WWE would start a B show and send out the stars for a while and then just decide they don’t feel like it anymore and send out the scrubs constantly. I don’t watch Rampage but from reading about it it seems like that

They booked a best of 7 series and didn’t throw one on Rampage
Maybe that wouldn’t make a difference, but it seems like a no brainer if you actually want to try
Lumberjack Best Friends was probably my wrestling highlight of the week though

Other than Punk’s return, was there a single instance where Rampage was important? For the first few months, Tony at least put some effort into it and booked some good matches that you would expect on Dynamite, then he just seemed to give up, and it went downhill from there.

The show is booked as if it doesn’t matter. Why should anyone care? The show this week had a ton of storyline progression within its hour and was actually a fun show. People judge the cards too harshly and just expect there to be nothing on the cards worthy of progressing storylines. This was also the Black Friday Rampage, it was expected to not get a great rating, I think Tony could have stacked this card and it wouldn't have really mattered, but regardless, if you actually watch the show, you are rewarded with multiple things progressing, which they at least recap on Dynamite if you miss it usually.

People thought that tag match was super fun who watched live, and thought Jarrett looked very good in ring The Lethal Injection/Stroke combo was also cool.

You book a shit card you get a shit rating. How dare you say OC v fat underwear jobber and his jobber friends is not incredible?! If you actually watched the match, it was a very fun match, which then set up a future match with Kip Sabian, and had House of Black end the show Again, they did a lot, and calling QT Marshall fat of all people is an awkward take in itself but I won't go there. Again, if you watch the shows, it doesn't feel like you were jaded, the live thread had a great time and were pretty surprised how many things they touched on in the hour. But if you're just going to stay stalwart in the fact the show isn't worth watching and the people they feature suck, it is what it is. I'm just giving you the perspective of someone who watched, it was a fun show.

The show just feels, Inconsequential.
Also you have so much talent struggling for TV time. Yet Lethal and freaking Jeff Jarrett are getting pushed in 2022.

Can’t say I’m surprised, the card was dire on paper and friggin QT Marshall has no business main eventing a televised show. I still fail to see what exactly is wrong with QT Marshall. Dude's a good heel, cuts fun heel promos, and is a very underrated worker and sells his ass off constantly for people Him getting a main event against Orange works for me given Orange accepts any challenger immediately, and given the post match stuff, it set up bigger things anyway Idk, I feel like QT Marshall is always looked down on because of hos he got in the company, but the dude always shows out when he has a match with someone. I get he's low on the rung, but a fun gimmick match on a Black Friday Rampage to me doesn't seem like some insult, but that's just me I guess.
