Look Who's Talking might be my first favourite Live Action film. Those movies, and by proxy, her were a big part of my early childhood. RIP. Forgot all about Look Who's Talking I watched that a lot as a kid and she was great in it. Also the movie Summer School I used to watch a lot on HBO as a kid. Ah, I always loved me some Summer School. It’s a fun movie. I also developed something of a crush on 3 of the young actresses in it (Courtney Thorn-Smith, Kelly Jo Minter, and Shawnee Smith).

Courtney Thorne-Smith was one of my first crushes since I first saw her on the 80's sitcom Day By Day. Probably not many people remember that show. She was also great on Melrose Place. Most Recently which probably isn't that recent now is on Two and Half Men. Allen Harper was a lucky man to have her.

Least we forget her role in one of my favorite guilty pleasures, "Summer School" RIP Hadn't seen it since the vhs rental day. Then Starz or some channel aired it late at night weeks back. DVReed it. Had forgotten Alley was in it. Mostly all I remembered was the two horror obsessed guys.

Had forgotten Alley was in it. Mostly all I remembered was the two horror obsessed guys. I remember Courtney had a crush on Marc Harmon. Shawnee Smith was pregnant with either Jon Bon Jovi’s kid or Sean Penn’s. Kelly Jo Minter needed driving lessons. There was a boy who slept in class because he moonlighted as a male stripper. The guy who got the best overall grades went to the bathroom on Day 1 and only returned when it was time to take their tests. The blond kid obsessed with horror films passed because he only answered “C” for every answer.

Nah the nerd who “negotiated the contracts” and his wish was just to be invited to the party the horror guys were throwing.

Her death kind of reminds me of Markie Post's last year. Both women came in as replacements and they lasted longer though Markie replaced more of a hodge podge. Both women carried themselves as more professional women as the characters but really made a connection on screen and with their co-stars in real life. They even dressed similar with the suit type outfits. Markie passed from cancer as did Kirstie. Markie was 70, Kirstie was 71. Both's illnesses weren't really reported at least from what I see. I'm still very surprised about Kirstie.
