I tried doing a thread a few months ago as a "so far" kind of thing, but I then deleted it. Now that I think we have reached the final PPV of the year, I think it's more appropriate to do this thread now. So which PPV/PLE did you think were among the best? I will give my picks. It could be any promotion, whether it's WWE, Impact, ROH, or AEW. Hell, include NXT shows while you're at it.
Here is my Top 5: 1. AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2. WWE Clash at the Castle 3. WWE Summerslam 4. AEW Revolution 5. WWE Hell in a Cell
I didn't watch all AEW PPVs. I watched Double or Nothing in theaters, which was fun but too long. I liked others like Wrestlemania Backlash. If I was doing a Top 10, I would include Wrestlemania. Hell, for NXT shows, I would say the top ones were Worlds Collide and Stand & Deliver.
Also, how good were the ROH PPVs, as well as the Impact PPVs? I heard Slammiversary was good as was Bound for Glory.
What are your picks?

1. TJPW - Summer sun princess 2. TJPW - Grand princess 3. Aew/njpw - Forbidden Door 4. EVE - Wrestlequeendom 5 - show 1 5. Aew - Full Gear
TJPW always deliver in their biggest shows. The top one was the first show back with cheering/streamers and was so well put together with star making performances and shocking results that made be bite for the false finishes in the main event. Even Thunder Rosa delivered during a rough patch for her. The other was more a celebration of the promotion.
Aew Forbidden Door stands out mostly for the occasion but OC Vs Ospreay was great.
Wrestlequeendom has a being there bias but was still another varied and high quality card.
I'll go with Full Gear last but it's hard to separate from Revolution. Both really good.

It's a tossup between Revolution and Forbidden Door for me. Just two all timer shows.

1. AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2. AEW Revolution 3. AEW Full Gear 4. ROH Death Before Dishonor 5. AEW Double or Nothing
Granted, DoN is there more by default than merit. I thought it was pretty mid, but I didn't really watch any other PPV's/PLE's.

Wrestlemania night 1 was my favorite show of recent years.
This has been a great year for PPVs. I saw almost every WWE/NXT/AEW/ROH PPV plus Wrestle Kingdom and the only show that I would call bad was Royal Rumble.

Personally I'd probably go with Clash At The Castle and All Out overall even though most of my fave ppv matches this year were from the ROH shows.

Not ranking them, but I really enjoyed WrestleMania, night one in particular, but there was some fun to be had with night two. Revolution was very good, but blown out of the water by Forbidden Door and Full Gear. All I really remember from Double or Nothing and All Out is the controversy around them, sadly. Death Before Dishonor was a great show, as was SummerSlam. I only saw bits and pieces of Clash at the Castle. Final Battle was good, but at the end of the day, it was a one match show, even if it was a hell of a match.
I need to go back and watch Survivor Series and Extreme Rules, as I heard good things about both.

Wrestlemania. By far imo. And that's not a slight on anything else. Just straight up fun

I'd go with Wrestlemania Night 1 followed by Summerslam.

Clash at The Castle because I was there to see it live. And we got exciting Sheamus v Gunther & Drew v Roman (despite the deflating finish) matches. Other than that probably Mania.
