Sigh. Another regular guy with short hair, in tights and kickpads. Basically no different to Dante Martin and Will Osperay for example. It was his first Dynamite appearance. Give him a few appearances before dismissing the look right off the bat. Dudes alway look bland as hell starting out (remembers whatever the hell The Rock wore at first). At least he didn't call him another out of shape Ricky Starks

Dude can be a curmudgeon with wrestlers who aren't hosses. But Andretti is also like 3 years into his career so he's still learning.

It's like satire at this point.

I think he should mention more random people others like even if they don’t make sense.
“Action Andretti is no different from Bandido, Chris Bey, Akira Tozawa, Rick Ross, Ted Dansen, Keanu Reeves, Kirby, Captain Balbosa from Pirates of the Caribbean and the Ghost of Christmas Present. Just a generic guy with tights”.

I guess my main question is will Action be on TV more like lightning kid/123 kid was in 1993 or is he going to cook more on Dark and stuff? Just feels like that moment or a moment similar could've been done with talent that was already signed and could've used a push. Like imagine if they saved the Dalton Castle / Jericho match until last night. Jerichos pissed and wanted to take it out on one last ROH champion, after a promo war to set up the match, Jericho beats up Castle before the bell, then Castle gets the huge upset. This was a neat moment, but it also it’s like okay… now what? Oh yeah that guy is going to dark after Jericho gets his win back, or it will just a forgettable thing the announcers remind you of every time they have a match…. Remember when private party beat the yung bucks!? Yes Tony I remember…

I do have to ask.
If he's gonna name himself Andretti, he's gotta be from PA, right?

This was a neat moment, but it also it’s like okay… now what? The moments you pitched and the moments other people have pitched would also be asking this question. It’s not a counter argument because that’s how stories work. You ask what’s next and find out what’s next. Like, I’ll go ahead and say Dalton pinning Jericho would not be considered a big upset because he’s a former ROH World Champion and until last Saturday, he was one third of the six man champion. He has credibility. That’s why he was hired back. Hell, Shawn Dean has two wins (yes, a DQ and a Count Out win but they’re wins on his record) against the world champion MJF. He wouldn’t be that surprising either. For this moment to work as it did, it either had to be an unknown or Serpentico. There was nobody else that made sense outside of just naming someone on Dark or Elevation.

That was AEW’s version of John Cena vs Kurt Angle except that guy actually won. Cena’s first big win was at Vengeance 2002 against Chris Jericho. Dude f***ing knows when it’s the right call to look at the lights

I’d argue that Serpentico wouldn’t even really work, since he’s lost so many as soon as it looked like he had a chance people would be calling it. Having an almost completely unknown commodity is what made it so great. As soon as they started chanting “Let’s Go Jobber!” Jericho had to know that he had them. LMAO.

Sigh. Another regular guy with short hair, in tights and kickpads. Basically no different to Dante Martin and Will Osperay for example. Dante Martin and Will Ospreay are extremely popular wrestlers in this wrestling thing so I think it's kind of funny you tried to make that an insult. Also so many people in the live thread loved his tights and said he had some of the best looking tights on the roster by default, so yeah, lol

"If you're a dude with short hair and kickpads you are literally just Will Ospreay" is such a horrible thing to say about dudes with short hair it's making me wonder if they're a group that can experience bigotry because detached from everythign else about it, that is an atrocious accusation.

I do have to ask. If he's gonna name himself Andretti, he's gotta be from PA, right? Or Italy. But yeah, Cagematch has his hometown as being Philadelphia. Maybe he can find a wrestler from New Mexico and call him Ultimo Unser Jr or something like that, blood feud with him.

Honestly, I wrote down in my notes: "Looks like Dante Martin and Will Ospreay when the camera doesn't zoom in." It just was my first association.
