I've seen some theorise that The Pokemon being returned to the Rockets is because the organization has caught up to the Red/Blue storyline in-universe and Giovani is shutting it down after being defeated by Red

I like that a lot, it'd be cool to get game and show synergy somehow, especially if everyone's supposed to be the same age as they were at the start anyway

{Spoiler} It's not much of a finale at all, a new journey begins for him and Pikachu with no sense of closure other than reuniting with Tracey and Pidgeot. Team Rocket, who they teased splitting, got back together and will continue to chase after them. Everything is left hanging obviously in a 'case of emergency' scenario, presumbly to grab ratings or course correct in case Horizons is a flop

On a serious note, I wonder if Pokemon is now going to be a seasonal anime? You know I think it would be neat, if the voices of Jessie and James are in the new series as the parents of one of these characters.

This feels like a relevant place to mention, I've been laid up in bed for the past couple days for a knee issue with only really my Switch and my laptop to keep me going. That being the case I decided to try watching some of the Pokemon anime, and it's amazing how utterly terrible the Switch Pokemon TV app is. Made it through the first two episodes and while it didn't crash at any point - usually it does at least once when I'm just scrolling through it - after both episodes it suddenly told me my Internet was out and when I hit a button to get it to do something it nonsensically booted me to the Junior section.
