I kinda hope they do for him what the games did for Red where he's now an adult. Having not played the games, I’m guessing he runs a gym? He and Blue turned up as bonus bosses in Sun & Moon. Not a lot to it but cute to see them. ... For some reason the same games also have Wally in them who is also a kid in the time period but is still a kid for some reason. |

I remember when they tried to give Team Rocket a final write-out arc in the Black and White era, where they suddenly became bad assess and Ash finally fought back Giovani, that only lasted about eleven weeks and they were back in the show being goofballs.

Gen 6/games with mega evolution takes place in an alternate universe apparently which is used to explain away any continuity nonsense. |

I stopped watching when they changed all the voice actors but I'll make sure to catch the last episode with them. Pokemon has always been an important part of my life.

And the show regularly teased splitting them up or retiring them before just going "we got nothing" until they did the podcast episode. |

Ash gets the girl in the end though as Misty decides to accompany him on his travels again. Latias following Ash around appears to be the big 'hook' of these final episodes If they're going to have a legendary following Ash, it should've been Ho-Oh.
