The fact that this is real is wild considering how much we (and everyone else really) completely eviscerated Russo under the Crap banner

So I guess Russo also listens to Something to Wrestle With One of the all time best STWW episodes was when they told the story of Vince Russo, but solely used Russo's book as a guide for Bruce to discuss and refute. Say what you will about Bruce and Conrad, but it was pretty masterful in this instance how they used Russo's exact words and Russo still threw a huge online tantrum over it. Like, if you wanted it to be better you should have written it better sunshine. Do you happen to know which episode this was? I know what I will be listening to on my drive this weekend haha

I watched an episode of Nitro from late 2000 last night and I just wanna say this dude's worse than Ghengis Khan Was it the Night of Champions Nitro from February 2000? Maybe the most frustratingly bad two hours of wrestling television aired that decade. It was the episode from September with the triple cage match where it ends with 3 dudes going THE ILLUMINATI'S REAL THAT'S THE DEAL and Kevin Nash retaining. If you wanna know how bad this show was I'll say the best part was Lance Storm and Elix Skipper making Major Gunns do sexy ass workouts and telling her it's making her a better Canadian all while Elix Skipper is sweating harder than anyone. The one where she's in the pool closes with her screaming BUT I DON'T WANNA BE CANADIAN. This very well could have been a Kevin Nash booked show but there's literally no way that Russo wasn't also writing large portions because it's the exact same brands of f***ery as earlier in the year but with Nash as champion.

I'm not excusing his behavior, but I do wonder how much effect Blade's death has had on him the last couple of years. Tbh I meant well before that, but fair point. To be fair, he doesn't seem like a dick on his FB account. At least, not that I could tell. He's also involved with a local charity arcade where he lives. I respect the dude simply for bringing Wrestlecrap to life, if nothing more.

A side-effect of the Russo column for me has been realizing that Art O'Donnell's pieces are the best written on the site by a country mile.

The last 3 iterations of this have been New Generation gimmicks that he had no part in coming up with so he can crap on it since he had nothing to do with it, then in some cases gloat about how he turned it around. This is at least 6 article's now of this, so he doesn't have to either defend or admit his own stuff was crap.

It's been a hot minute since the column updated. Did I miss something? Just schedule slip?

At that point just disable the comments for Russo columns then Russo has resorted to blocking people who he doesn't follow personally on his Twitter account so basically you have to be a Russo fanboy to comment on his Twitter account.

Vince Russo writing for WrestleCrap is so fitting, it’s like if OJ started a True Crime podcast.

It's been a hot minute since the column updated. Did I miss something? Just schedule slip? Probably the write ups went over like a "fart in church" and both guys are hoping fans just forget about it. It's the worst of two worlds-Russo and some of the worst gimmicks during the time period. I can't imagine Russo giving up a free forum where he can be himself with no filter unless he realized it wasn't working.

I don't really follow the site anymore...but is it even really a thing? With social media and YouTube, I can't imagine getting a ton of traffic.
I checked out their forum...and man, that place is an absolute ghost town now, which is insane given that 15 years ago, it was THE wrestling forum. I think I saw like the same 4 to 6 active members in threads that were 2 years old.

FAN's one of the few wrestling forums left that's still highly active, but even on weekends, the wrestling sections can be quiet, possibly due to the lack of news usually. Off-Topic still has plenty of activity any day, though.

There's daily updates but I've never gotten the sense that there is a buttload of traffic. Granted, I wouldn't be privy to those numbers in the first place, but there aren't many comments on things outside of Russo pieces, if that means anything at all. As others have said, they would probably be in better shape if they evolved the content with the times. Video channels have absolutely eaten R.D.'s lunch in that regard. That being said, I also don't blame him for not making the switch given how busy he is in real life. It's easy to forget how time consuming it is to make even a brief video, like a top 10 list or the like.

That would imply Russo has any self awareness or that anything is his fault and not other people not understanding his grand vision

My brief glimpse into the other forum was that it was basically a less active, less interesting version of this place, but if it was was cool with 4chan-level edgelords running rampant.

I mean 15 years ago it was this place... I don't think their second attempt at a forum ever reached the same heights. The ironic thing was that RD felt he could flex the rules to people he felt were his friends, which helped lead to the split. And those so called "friends" abandoned RD and their new forum soon thereafter.

Weird thing is Russo defending stuff like Pete Rose which everyone liked.
