#501 - Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Max)
*Seen it a lot
It's wild that this is a movie that most people remember fondly from childhood despite being terrifying and unsettling at points. I get it though because this is magical. [****½]

164. Violent Night - Watched this on Blu-ray. I ordered this recently, as I knew I should add it to my collection. Plus, I recall enjoying it a lot when I saw it in theaters last year, enough that it should be a Christmas tradition for myself. Oh, and it came in the mail today.
I still had as much as I did when I saw the first time. There are a lot of gory scenes, funny moments (some of which even involved the violence), and some wholesome moments that worked in a movie like this.

I was really impressed with the french version of The Three Musketeers and Saltburn tbh. Dream Scenario was fun but I'm a sucker for Nic Cage films. The 4k blu ray of Trading Places is something else if anyone likes that type of comedy as the transfer is amazing and both the sound and visuals pop.
216 - Ralph Breaks the Internet
217 - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
218 - Beauty and the Beast
219 - Bronson
220 - Family, The
221 - Analyze This

223 - Addams Family
224 - Dream Scenario
225 - Saltburn
226 - Addams Family Values
227 - Jackie Brown
228 - Despicable Me
229 - Falling Down
230 - Kill Bill Vol 1
231 - Kill Bill Vol 2
232 - Sing 2
233 - Napoleon
234 - How the Grinch Stole Christmas
235 - Man Called Otto, A
236 - Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan, The

50. Krampus
If you lose the Christmas spirit then Krampus comes to punish you. A surprisingly good cast does their best with a rather goofy story. I wouldn’t call it a Christmas classic but I would be willing to watch it again in a few years.

I didn't love Dunkirk so I wasn't sure about this choice for Nolan but he nailed it. The first hour is a bit slow but once we get to the bomb making and the aftermath, it's captivating. The performances are great and this has some of Nolan's best bits of filmmaking in here too. [****½]

165. Die Hard - Saw this in theaters. When I heard that this would be brought back to theaters, how could I say no at the opportunity? While I know I've seen this movie multiple times, and it is one of my all-time favorite action films, I had a lot of fun seeing this on the big screen. I could go on about the action, the survival aspect, the tension, the one-liners, etc., but really, seeing this in theaters was worth it. I also don't think it was remastered, unless it was from the old Blu-ray transfer.
I may put on the second film soon. After all, 'tis the season.

120. The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart (2023) 121. The Naughty Nine (2023) 122. Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm (2022)I remember when I was in college I was a huge fan of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Adult Swim's line-up in general. I even bought the first two seasons of ATHF on DVD. But that was like twenty years ago. As those years went on I lost more and more interest in the show, and I really felt it was long past its expiration date when it originally ended. Now they're bringing it back for some reason. This was exactly what you'd expect it to be. Twenty year outdated random humor. I guess it wasn't bad for that, but I am so past the point in my life where this appeals to me anymore. At least it was short.

I decided to rewatch X-Men in chronological order and it's been a decent watch so far but I can see why Dark Phoenix has killed the series. It should have been 2 films and explore why each character is the way they are and makes revamped timeline kind of pointless
241 - Grinch, The 242 - X-Men: First Class 243 - X-Men: Days of Future Past 244 - X-Men Origins: Wolverine 245 - X-Men: Apocalypse 246 - X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Was really good. Definitely recommend it. It's not just a Godzilla destroys everything or a Kaiju fighting film though so don't go in expecting one of those. Godzilla does destroy a lot when he's on screen but he's not the main character of the film.
