Beat Sea of Stars last week. Great game, though the battle system could have used more variety as it became repetitive. Wanted to shoot for the true ending, but I'm not in the mood to look for 60 rainbow conches(by the end of the game I had 25).
Up next is Yakuza: Like a Dragon

13. Daymare 1998
Not awful but still pretty bad.
14: Resident Evil Village
I was going to wait until I got the gold edition to replay this in 3rd person along with the DLC but got the itch to play again. Overall, still very good but out of all the post 7 games I'd still rank it: 7,4,2,V,3. That's not even a criticism, the RE games have just been very good to Excellent for the last few years.

22. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
I may be going out of order, whether it's in release or chronologically, but it doesn't matter here. I was in the mood for this game a few weeks ago when I read my novelization of this game. Unfortunately, my old copy had gone missing some time ago and I wasn't going to dig everywhere to find it. So I ordered a copy of this online. On top of that, I also re-watched the YouTube video, "Metal Gear Solid 4 was a Mistake" from Steak Bentley. A good video, I might add.
It had been a long time since I had done a playthrough of this. I might be a little rusty (I was also rusty in the other two I played) but I still remembered how to play it. Also, as much as I love this series, there are a lot of issues with the writing. I mean I have consumed media with convoluted stories but I think this one really took the cake. Doesn't make me enjoy the game less, though. It was also a nice swan song to Solid Snake's story.
I also did a non-lethal run, despite the overall stats stating I had six kills. I might try it different next time, which may also involve skipping through cutscenes and I might do better in not getting caught.
Now what to do next. I might do "Peace Walker."

95. Super Mario Bros. Wonder
Didn't expect to go through it so quickly if only because I kind of wanted to prioritize Spider-Man, but it really hooks you. Think it has some problems - lot of the levels feel rather short and half-baked, and the gimmicks kind of go so far as to feel like there's very little in the way of more conventional levels which might make it kind of hard to come back to - but it's still a ton of fun and the most fresh-feeling Mario game in years. The final level and boss fight in particular just knock it out of the park, you can tell they knew they really wanted this game to go out on a very strong note.

This is definitely next on the list for us...Do you feel there is any replay value after finishing? Wife and I played both the New Super Mario Bros U/Luigi U and 3D World together and loved the chaos and expect to have a similar experience but neither are games we would go back to really after finishing.

Probably, there are a good few bonus levels to find and there's getting all the standees and stuff if you want to grind for that. The levels tend to be short and breezy, and unlike the NSMB games they do have a readily accessible list available that when you beat the game adds placeholders telling you where you missed some. I can see it being something that you wouldn't really replay super often, since it's kind of talky and has a ton of levels (some of which are pretty blatantly just filler, like a good handful are literally just walk forward, talk to an NPC, and you're done) but I think there'd be novelty in returning to it, especially if you wanted to go in depth messing with the badges or whatever since a lot of those do add some pretty radical mechanical differences.

96. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
I was still in the mood after finishing Majora's Mask and it's a quick playthrough so figured would give it a quick run, and figured wrapping it up (was at the Water Temple at that point) would work as a pretty good cooldown between beating Wonder and properly giving my focus to Spider-Man. Always fun and definitely felt right playing it with an N64 controller again, not done that since I did a gold cartridge run like well over a decade ago at this point. There are ways the game shows its age for sure but it's still a hell of a lot of fun.
Always kind of wanted to beat every 3D Zelda in the span of a year and at this point the only ones I have left to do are Wind Waker, which I have a playthrough kind of in progress but stalled a bit on so I might get to it relatively soon, and Skyward Sword which I might try and make a December thing. Feel like it's kind of now or never on that since I can't really see a scenario in which I'm going to want to do BotW and TotK in the same year ever again (and honestly on the latter there's a very real chance after I double back to and do the dungeons / shrines I didn't feel like bothering with that I'll never touch it again) and Twilight Princess is a game I love but is kind of too long and grinding to play very often.

97. Mario Party 3
Always been a huge fan of it, definitely my favorite Mario Party, and naturally was eager to do a run of its story mode once they put it up on the Switch. Usual Mario Party annoyances when dealing with the AI and its rampant cheating, but plus side they're still dumb as rocks so still managed to get all S ranks on this particular playthrough.

98. Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels
I've never been able to develop a taste for it so never actually beaten it before, but I figured whatever, it'd probably be quick to knock out and did so tonight. I am... Still not really crazy about it, think a lot of its level design does just feel really obtuse and like it's expecting you to read the developers' minds to know what they want from you at points, but it does have its charms and the more straightforwardly difficult levels that aren't doing stuff like trolling you with invisible blocks or dead ends can still be pretty fun.

99. Castlevania Legends
Consensus seemed to be that the game was very short so figured whatever, they put it up on the Switch, might as well knock that out. I can definitely see why it has the not-so-great reputation it does, even at its short runtime it gets really old really fat just fighting the same endlessly spawning enemies over and over, the platforming is very janky, and yet it still just kind of feels braindead easy for the most part. It's an okay little time killer but don't think anyone's really been missing anything for how long it's been unavailable.
That said for a Game Boy game the cutscenes actually look very nice.

100. Spider-Man 2
Hey, not only hit my goal of beating 100 in a year but did it with almost two months to spare! Guess need to see how far I can run up the score at that point then.
Anyway, I'll probably go deeper into my broader thoughts on the game later in the thread for it, but kind of where I stand on it on the whole is it's good, I enjoyed it, glad I played it, can't really see a scenario where unless it's been awhile I'd opt to play this one over the first one if only because I don't think the game is very well written and most of the new mechanics only serve to detract from the experience I think. The symbiote is hella fun to use at least, but you get so little chance to actually use it it isn't quite enough to elevate it over the first game or really even the Miles one.
Also Kraven exists in this weird space where he's the worst written, most shitty, boring character, but also he's by far the most fun boss fight.

13: Guardians of the Galaxy... absolute fantastic game tbf and I'm gutted it's not getting a sequel. The story was awesome and the characters felt relatable but not stepping on the movies toes and created their own path. If anyone hasn't played it, it's well worth a go

9.Indiana Jones & The Emperor's Tomb (OG Xbox, digital, played on Series X)
Grabbed it when it was given away on Gold. Really good for the time period and feels perfect for an Indy game. However, controls aren't fantastic, mainly due to the fact you can't steer your jumps so you try to jump in a panic and veer way off to the side because you don't have time to adjust your starting direction. This caused so many level restarts, especially in the Netherworld level with the possessed terracotta statues and the Von Beck boss fight. Marshall Kai boss fight was a tad too easy, though, once you figured it out. If you can get it under a fiver on sale, I'd say absolutely get it. (It's a £5 on Steam, £2 for physical PC and £5 for PS2 on CeX)
