It wasn't a problem in the attitude/ruthless aggression eras but in more recent years it seemed like if you had a feud going the people involved were in their own little world and wouldn't interact with anyone else on the show which just doesn't feel realistic.
Now you have backstage segments with random people interacting. Bloodline and/or Judgment Day are practically feuding with the whole babyface roster. Theory a couple months ago felt like he had 5 feuds going at the same time. Becky and Rhea haven't even started feuding yet but they've been given a bunch of moments to tease that it's coming eventually. Same with Rhea and Bianca.

To me it’s not WHO he chooses to push, I think he usually gets that that right much to the iwc’s chagrin. I just don’t like how all roads lead back to the same two guys. Brock especially.

Setting up interesting stories with no plans on how they'll progress before he eventually abandons them without a proper conclusion. Makes it pointless to emotionally invest in anything. Yeah. Like the beginning of Roman's heel turn was amazing, but then it kind of just chugged along with not a lot happening before Triple H took over and made it interesting again.

The Misery Booking. Vince seemed to get off on making the audience miserable. There are like two times I thought it was funny (especially when it led to Rey Mysterio getting booed as if Joseph Goebbels had just walked through the curtain), but by and large it was pure misery. The other thing I really hated is that Vince had this weird f***ing idea in his head that "Short Person = Literal Child". Vince infantalized short people for decades, as if they were helpless or incapable of basic speech. Like, how many times did Hornswoggle get involved in something but commentary would blame the victim for his actions if they retaliated?

the way everyone talked the same way, as if they were robots reading a thesaurus - ffs no one says medical facility or words like Eviscerates or knocks off "Snorky... Talk... Man!"

Sociopath babyfaces and long ass matches where dude kicks out of a neckbreaker and commentary can't believe what they just saw

Not so much booking but the forced fake way he made everyone talk. Really made me miss the days of Stone Cold.

The biggest one for me is the long ass show opening in ring promo.
Its ridiculous to put on a combat sports event without a scheduled main event and then book the main event after the show starts.
Its even more ridiculous because literally anyone who wants to main event Raw or Smackdown should know to just interrupt that opening promo and get put in a main event.

The fact that WWE for the longest time felt like McDonald’s….every time you invest in it, you know what you’re gonna get. Even with the occasional “McRib” being thrown in, it’s not enough to make someone excited, but rather “ho-hum” about the product presented.

I think overall I didn't hate vince's booking, but the biggest critique I would have was that raw and smackdown seemed to be inconsequential most weeks. If you paid attention to mostly just the ppvs, and watched the 30 min this week in wwe, everything was pretty enjoyable.

The emphasis on quantity over quality. More shows, more titles, and longer shows made being a fan a full-time commitment rather than a diversion from normal life.
You either had 50/50 booking, which benefited no one, or guys got jobbed out whereas in years past you’d bring in local Indy wrestlers to serve as enhancement talent to avoid crapping on someone’s aura and keep rivals apart until it was time to blow off the feud.
Over reliance on buzzwords and invented terms, irrational elimination of words he arbitrarily felt didn’t make WWE seem show-bizzy enough, and the fascination with one-name wrestlers.

While I definitely liked WWE in 2021 more than a lot of people here, I think the main difference between Vince and HHH's booking styles is that whereas Vince seemed to be stubborn to the point of being a control freak about wanting everyone presented a certain way, HHH seems more content to let them be themselves, and that's led to a far better viewing experience, and I'd imagine a work experience as well

An inability to understand what's made the company successful from a creative standpoint. I don't think that Vince is very good at the whole "wrestling product" thing in general and has always required more talented people below him (he's one of the greatest entertainment promoters of all time) but the biggest issue has always been that he misunderstands why the product is hot. It's a continuing trend going all the way back to the failed Warrior and Luger pushes, he misreads the reasons why hot periods were hot periods and tries to replicate them for up to a decade afterwards. He tried to create the next Hogan for years, the RA era was filled with efforts at recreating the Attitude Era including trying to make Cena the new Austin, and then tried to make Roman a carbon copy of Cena even after having a full-blown audience revolt against that type of babyface.
And even with the Bloodline, it seems like it was an attempt to recreate the conditions that lead to Bryan's ascent up the card when the whole reason it happened was the audience hating how dominant the heel faction was.

- Wins and losses don't matter - Championships don't matter - Only the top of the card gets anything meaningful

When I compare it to HHH’s booking and feel like we’ve missed out on what could have been.
