Sure, he's great at creating and evolving characters, his promos are captivating, but outside the time Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatt Family, I can't think of one fued of his that was really good.
Wrestling feuds require fans to hate one character and sympathize and cheer for the other. I don't see any of that happening in any of Bray's feuds. There is no protagonist/antagonist, just interesting characters doing spectacles.

I doubt he can carry my bag without losing it in some outer dimension.
But I agree with your point. Bray is less of a character in a wrestling feud and more of a character in a story. It never feels organic and if his opponent's traits are played against him with a purpose. Metaphors don't work in wrestling when they are the forced point of a feud instead of a byproduct.

He sure went from “this is the real me” to “stupid nonsensical monster” real quick.

Unfortunately, not really. The Batman Forever Fight Scene, er Pitch Black Match reminded me that much of his allure is all character, all promos, all spectacle.
Undertaker was like this too, but eventually could also work a decent to great match.
This is why he should be an attraction. I said that much about The Fiend too...then they put him in contention for titles and such, and that was when the shark started circling, waiting for The Fonz...

I think both Orton storylines were pretty good for the bulk of them, but then they both just crashed and burned spectacularly at the finish line.
Though really by far the times I've most ever enjoyed the guy are 1), when him and Orton were tag partners, and 2), the early days of the Firefly Funhouse.

I think Bray has a phenomenal mind for the business. But they execution just seems to be a miss more often than not. It looks better on paper than the final product does. I still love Bray though!

All of Bray's feuds are long rambles to unsatisfying payoffs. They start interesting, then peter out quickly, and the matches are almost never good.

Bray is basically wrestling George Lucas to me. I like this take. You can tell there's this vague grand vision in his head but it requires additional people to translate the bullshit into something useable. Bray needs to take Harrison Ford's quote to heart: "You can type this shit, but you can't say it."

He sure went from “this is the real me” to “stupid nonsensical monster” real quick. Stupid nonsensical monster might actually be the real him. Its his humanity that's a mask. That was both a serious and joke answer.

Given the dark nihilistic nature of his ideas and lack of focus, I think he's more like the wrestler version of Vince Russo.

I honestly can't stand him. I decided to fast forward his whole match once he started talking in the Rumble video package.
Why can't he just be a bug scary dude from the swamplands with being rambling magic man with a friend in the special effects department.

He has a number of issues, but the biggest one is pacing. Some of that's on him, probably, and not entirely on WWE, but he seems to take forever to get wherever he's going, assuming he gets there at all.

As far as anything other than the match itself?
I'd say yes.
But once that bell rings...I hope his opponent is ready to carry them both to a 2 1/2 star match.

He can, but in this particular feud, his return feud with LA Knight? LA Knight outclassed him, to the point he was getting cheered and getting over with crowds with the "YEAH!" that he literaly had to keep telling them to shut up because they weren't supposed to cheer him lol
Hes had quite a few clunker feuds but this one stands out most because it was supposed to be his big breakout moment with Vince no longer in charge, free reign, it's HIS story, told HIS way... and it's an unadulterated f***ing mess so far, moving at the pace of the tectonic plates of the earth, where it literally doesn't sound or visually look like he knows what he's doing with any of this. and if he does, the pacing outside of a few choice moments, hasn't done anything to help peoples investment into it, and Howdy completely whiffing on the dive felt like a big time jump the shark moment...

Bray would make for a great manager , leading a new Wyatt like group where he only occasionally gets involved in ring

I’m actually legitimately wondering if guy can go in the ring anymore. And this feud was what it was, Knight was good enough where he’ll be fine but..
Real (morbidly) curious how Bray’s next program does lol.

Real (morbidly) curious how Bray’s next program does lol. Here's a prediction: *lights go out* Hey there *insert random wrestler here* I'm gonna get you!*flashing lights* *spooky noises* Ha ha ha I'm crrrraazy!*3 weeks of vague videos of puppets and mysterious beings* BOO! Look at how wacky I am! You will find out this Sunday at *insert PPV name here*The match at the PPV is garbage tier; nobody gains any heat. Bunch of posts online about how shit it was mixed with posts about how awesome/creative/innovative Bray is. I know I really went out on a limb with this prediction. It's just that this bum is 100% predictable yet pretends like he's writing Shakespearian Dramas.

He had his chance, and this is what he's done with it. Awful.
