He's a great creator who needs an editor that he trusts. I disagree. If he was such a great creator, we would see at least an element of that in his performance. Plus, if he wanted to prove anything, then he could have done so during his time away from the company. Also, it seems like he's been provided far more rope than most of the rest of the roster, and so many others have proved more with far less. You did a great job drawing the distinction between creator and performer. Everything may not be to your preference, but Wyatt has gotten over the Cape Fear con man/Family cult, the firefly funhouse version of himself, The Fiend, and the white rabbit return. He's continually reinvented himself. What hasn't gotten over is when these things have spiraled beyond the ability to follow or keep up with.

He's continually reinvented himself. What hasn't gotten over is when these things have spiraled beyond the ability to follow or keep up with. So how can you say that Bray Wyatt is exclusively responsible for those successes? Or how could you conclude that WWE doesn't have a hand in those successes? For all we know, it could be a Vince Russo situation where the bad (meaning worse) ideas get filtered out. Or maybe a Damien Sandow situation, where we're seeing the best there is?

I do think that this current thing he has going on is probably hurting his overness in the long run. Crowds still love Bray certainly, but with what he's been doing since his comeback more often than not when he actually does anything the crowd shuts up real quick, a lot of the time LA Knight came off as the more over of the two in their interactions, and even just looking at the top merch sellers he's gone from dominating the very top of the charts to having one shirt as the 22nd most popular thing and another at 40th.
I think he's still over for the moment, but this angle and Uncle Howdy most definitely aren't and I think it could very well be damaging to him in the longterm.
