So I've shared a Netflix account with sister-in-law and entitled nephew for as long as I've lived here. Technically I'm in the same household as it's a duplex, but I've been off the "home" network since October. Entitled nephew lives above the garage and also has his own network. This'll f*** us both over entirely.

This is absolutely something that’s going to get shitted on and they’ll drop and try a new idea in June or something because I can already imagine the stories of actors working on Netflix projects not being able to watch Netflix because the shoots are too long. As an example . *sees post above*

Netflix with the good old Wizards of the Coast, "Shit, shit, uh, we didn't mean it, broskis," pullback.

I keep going back to how Microsoft wanted to put some of these things in for the Xbox One and was absolutely throttled for it. Even after they cancelled the majority of the announced restrictions, the One was grossly outsold by the Playstation 4 despite both systems being almost entirely comparable. It was basically a lost generation for MSoft as they only recently reclaimed their footing in the gaming market.
Netflix WILL fail in the next couple years unless they cancel this password stuff.

Netflix, you've got the GOATed UI, but you're f***ing up so much other stuff. Be more like your UI.

Netflix canceling shows after 1-2 seasons is the reason I'm done with them. Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu and Peacock are more worth my time.

Still mad at Netflix for canceling Everything Sucks! I use my former roommates account… or I did. Guess that’s ending soon. Meh

Didn't help initial impressions for sure. But I'd say the biggest drivers of the PS4's success over the Xbone (besides the latter being DOA in Japan) was the PS4's somewhat lower price and much better exclusives. The few exclusives the One had were not only usually available on PC, but honestly not that great. Like the Halo series isn't nearly what it used to be. Microsoft pivoted to the Gamepass model and that helped, but it was too little, too late. It's estimated the Xbox One sold about about 60 million units, give or take a couple of million. Meanwhile, the PS4 did nearly double that at over 117 million.

I'm enjoying all these big companies f***ing around, "You shitty little customers need to be nicer to us big corporations!" and immediately finding out that no, we actually don't.

Not to mention things like dunking on them in a parody of how to share games on the Xbox video.

Oh sorry honey we can't Netflix and Chill Ive been watching Martin on Crave for exactly 31 days and I'm prohibited by law Yeah, Crave’s gotten A LOT more of my attention (The HBO and Showtime catalogues are well worth my investment alone). Not sure what the last thing I’ve watched on Netflix was, to be honest.

In general it feels like Sony and Microsoft have a revolving door where each generation one of them gets way too arrogant and the other capitalizes on it.

"We know our customers will pay for this expensive product despite most of them dealing with layoffs and bills!"

I mean they kinda both did it this generation. Though at least you can sort of find Xbox Series S's and the Gamepass model is a lot more affordable. But yeah, releasing $500 consoles during a pandemic and all the economic turmoil associated with it along with computer component shortages was certainly a choice.
