Major Charles Emerson Winchester III had a couple of face turns. I haven't watched MASH since lockdown, but the three I can think of off hand are when he threatens the soldiers bullying the stuttering soldier and you find out his sister has a severe stutter, his caring after the soldier that was a concert pianist, and when he stood vigil with Hawkeye when his father was going in for an operation. Jesus, David Ogden Stiers had more turns than Big Show. Also the one episode where he tricked Colonel Flagg into making a fool of himself while 'helping' him try to catch Hawkeye as a communist sympathizer. I think I'm going to rewatch the series now, I just thought of another one, when he gives the chocolate to the orphanage and of course the series finale.

Yeah, I think Winchester was more a tweener than an outright heel outside of like his introduction. His moments of decency were much more frequent than Burns' by a longshot.

GoT had a few; Jaime, The Hound, Theon and Melisandre. I'd put Melisandre in the same bracket as Bronn – morally grey characters who ally with anybody who can help them further their own goals. In Melisandre's case, she does some awful things to good people because she believes she's furthering the cause against the White Walkers, one of the few outright heels in the show.

And they did it without doing the whole "the bad guys are actually the good guys and vice versa" thing, too. Tell that to Barney Stinson. I'm kinda curious what Barney's reaction to Cobra Kai in general would be. Would he see it as final vindication for his claims that Johnny was the true hero of the story all along? Or would he just see Johnny as a traitor for turning on his sensei/father-figure? Has Neil Patrick Harris ever made any statements on the matter?

True... they certainly did their best to keep Frank a heel, didn't they? I can't think of any circumstance where Burns did the 'right thing' unless he was backed into a corner and no other way out.

Roland Pryzbylewski in The Wire. He goes from pistol-whipping a teenager in custody partially blinding him, to becoming a teacher who helps at least one kid turn his life around.
