WWE Worst Matches of 2013 to 2022 Survey (Deadline Saturday)

I know, I know, I really should be doing the NXT and residuals survey, but with the WWE surveys not getting as much response as the AEW ones do I'm kind of afraid it'd be a really tedious amount of work on my part rounding up a not particularly significant amount of replies where everyone knows going in that Seth's going to be on top anyway because I forgot him before. I might try and fit it in without the residuals between the AEW one in May and main roster WWE one in the fall, we'll see.

Now, I'm limiting this from 2013 to 2022 for a few reasons. One, it avoids anything happening while the survey's running that might end up being a contender, two, it gives us a clean decade-long period to derive from, and, three, it should help cut down on recency bias being at least two months and change removed from anything valid to count. If this does well I might do a follow-up best matches survey since I think that'd also be interesting.

Now, I've done a couple of match ones before...

The scoring on this will work like it did in the WrestleMania matches survey, with the matches you assign to lower numbers getting more points.

Like with that survey the things that place in the top 10 (maybe even top 20, we'll see how varied and how plentiful the responses are) I will personally endure and write up my thoughts on. ... Hoping I don't have to fire up any Saudi shows on Peacock but I can think of at least two matches I'm probably going to have to sit through from them. That being said...

Took a lot of looking around at consensus picks for the worst match of each year to refresh myself, and filtering out ones I haven't seen but know are horrible like Seth / Fiend, DX / BoD, and one I'm sorely tempted to vote for entirely for why it happened, Lars Sullivan / Lucha House Party. Some runner-ups I considered but didn't go with are B-Fab vs. Katrina Cortez, Reigns / Lesnar from Mania 34, Edge / Orton from Mania 36, the Orton / Wyatt Mania 35 match, and the Alexa / Bayley Kendo Stick on a Pole match. I also really wanted to put one from the 2016 Summer of Darren Young up but poking through a few of his matches from that period they're all terrible but not really bad enough in isolation, it's more the snowball effect of how consistently unwatchable the dude was at that point.

That said I did really want to try and do more midcard stuff and not have so many main-eventers but the issue you run into with that is 1), that stuff doesn't tend be as memorable, and 2), that stuff doesn't tend to be as long and length is often the killer more than anything on these.

- Taker vs Goldberg- Crown Jewel

- Taker and Kane vs HHH and Michaels- Crown Jewel

- Fiend vs Seth- Hell in a Cell

- Orton vs Fiend and/or Orton vs Wyatt both from a Mania

- Brock Lesnar vs Kofi Kingston from the first FOX Smackdown

- Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez from Crown Jewel

- Taker vs Roman from Mania

- The Ambrose vs Seth blood feud match that started with a simple lockup, can't remember the exact show

Are definitely all worthy of consideration for this. I'm sure there are also some Divas Era matches that were still humming along from 2013 and beyond that could take up a spot or two, and then Nia Jax vs Charlotte because well... yeah.
