9. Really fun with great matches, but 10's are for a perfect show and it didn't end on the right note for me to warrant that. I wanted Bryan to win (tbh so did most here and in the crowd) but would have been satisfied if the final fall was clean. Story was all over the place from the build but what did the match service? We know MJF can work 60 minutes and is a great talent. That's not a story. The story that was told is he can cheat for 60 minutes and then some more ... okay? No one doubted he could cheat. He didn't level up or show a different side. The work in the match was great, I'll commend it - the way I'd commend great cinematography or acting on a film that doesn't flow. Idk I thought it flowed very well and the image of MJF realizing he couldn't just escape with the draw was good He made Danielson tap out, he didn't win with the extinguisher in the end, Danielson couldn't escape, he didn't even pass out. I think that really matters and shows MJF did something a lot of people couldn't do.

9 I think. They've completely lost the ability to book a Wardlow match (literally just a Goldberg match, short and full of power moves that's genuinely all you need) and the tag title match was a weird ass mess, but FTR came back after and hopefully they get the titles back immediately. Otherwise, no real complaints. Rest of card varied from solid to amazing with the main event and the death match really standing out. Probably four 4+ star matches altogether, Hayter and Starks are stars, etc.

I think that really matters and shows MJF did something a lot of people couldn't do. It flowed perfectly if the end result was a Bryan win - MJF at points didn't take the match seriously (left to go into the fans, the water running gag), cheated to get out of the fall deficit and was saved by the bell. Those are things you structure if the goal is the babyface to overcome the heel's arrogance. Everyone has different philosophies/tolerances. I think it would've been more compelling if MJF tried to prove he was better for 60 minutes, and once Sudden Death came into play he cheats because "he didn't agree to that". Just going 60 minutes with Bryan on the level would've solidified something new for him storywise. Or just don't announce that it'll be an Iron Man match and do a regular draw. That way it's a shock when it goes 60 minutes and he's hanging, then the cheating at Sudden Death brings back the asshole factor.

I voted 6, probably would be closer to 6.5. Liked the results from the few matches. Thought Jungle Boy vs. Christian was the best match of the show. I'm so bored with Omega and the Bucks matches. The Texas Death Match was every Moxley indulgence wrapped up in a barbed wire bow. Only started to get into the Iron Man match when MJF was up 3-2, but most Iron Man matches are just time sucks anyway. Thought the Joe vs. Wardlow finish was flat, though I don't mind the outcome.

I will say this too, while the match ended up being amazing, a 60 minute Iron Man match is just too much and I honestly think it would have had more of an impact if this went as long as it did without having the expectation of it being an hour

10 for me. Mox/Page and main event were easy 5 star matches, and you can make a very strong argument for the Trios title match to be one as well(it is at least a 4.5 at bare minimum). Jungle Boy/Christian I’d personally give a 4.5 to as well, but that’s a more firm 4.5 from me. Women’s match was very solid, tag title match was a fun change of pace, Wardlow/Joe was solid, though the ending just kinda happened to me, and Jericho/Ricky was again a solid match and in hindsight the best call to open with because it got the crowd hot and honestly knowing the matches that followed it, it would have been hard to place elsewhere without feeling like a dip in momentum.
Were all the matches stellar? No, but none of the matches sucked, and they paced things out amazingly well, imo.
Edit: Also, they not only executed three match stipulations that very easily could go tits up extremely well, but gave us some of the best examples of them ever.

Big ol' 9.
Absolutely f***ing stellar show, all time classic with some all time classic matches. It would've been a 10 had I not felt disappointed by Joe/Wardlow and the tag titles match, and even those were still good.

One other thing I loved is that this show was another continuation of them really building up their young “home grown” talent. MJF, Hangman, Starks, Jungle Boy, Wardlow all got huge wins over some real legends of wrestling in a spectacular way.

I'll go with 8/10. I enjoyed it, I wasnt really feeling the women's triple threat or the Wardlow match but everything else was good. The Final Burial match was awesome, I'll definitely rewatch that at some point.

That shit was a 10! Every match delivered! Especially the Texas Death Match and the Ironman Match. One of the greatest Ironman matches ever.

Massive 9 for me. Only matches that weren’t great were Joe v Wardlow, women’s triple threat & Starks v Jericho (Which was still ok but everything else blew it away).
Genuine MOTY candidates in HOB v Elite & the Ironman. Best AEW PPV I’ve seen for a while. Probably since All Out 2021.

Hmmm...6.5...maybe 7. I dunno. And honestly take it worth a grain of salt b/c I'm at the lowest I've been so far on AEW. I freely own up to my "meh-ness" on the product, but won't deflate anyone else's enjoyment of it.
The good: Loved the Trios match. I'm glad HoB won. I'm glad Starks went over. The Women's 3-way was very solid. Mox vs. Hangman was gross, but kept my interest. Glad Moxley put Hanger over. FTR coming back was a nice surprise. I'm glad Danhausen finally got on PPV proper.
The eh: Ruby turning after the match. I was stoked at first b/c I thought she was gonna be a "lone wolf" type character taking out both teams. But no. Yawn. Assboys retaining (it makes sense with FTR coming back, but still) and it was crazy to hear the crowd just deflate when they won (they did get them back minutes later in fairness). The TNT Title match didn't vibe with me. The main event was just too long, and I admit my rating is probably reflected about how salty I am that Cap'n Copy & Paste MJF won (I just finished the show so it's fresh to me). It's just so many storylines are limp to me, so it hurt my ability to get into them. But as said that's 100% on me.
The most perfect show AEW has done to me was All Out 2021. This doesn't come anywhere close to that. But had some good moments, and others I didn't like.
Overall it was an okay show, and didn't mind spending a few hours with it, but it certainly wasn't amazing. It doesn't make me want to tune in Wednesday. I am glad so many of you vibed with it and had a good time. Cool to see the overwhelming positivity. I'm not trying to rain on any parades, but yeah, it was alright.
Hopefully they go back to Saturdays at some point b/c I would love to have seen this in a theater.

I would maybe go a strong 9, but I'm bumping it up to 10 because I felt like I had underestimated it going in, and if you're going to overdeliver, that's worth something. I was already hovering in the middle of 9 and 10, anyway, so it was a little nudge.

I don't give anything a 10 but this is an easy 9. I knew my guys would deliver in the Iron Man and they even exceeded my lofty expectations.

Went with a 9. Not a perfect show but a damn good one with three match of the year contenders.

I'll go with a 10, it wasn't absolutely perfect but it wasn't far off and I can't vote 9.5. Loved virtually everything from start to finish, all the matches i thought would deliver did so and more, the women's match was nowhere near as clunky as I thought it might be and I was delighted to see Jamie retain, Ricky and Jericho surpassed my expectations, the Tag match was loads of fun and the let down feeling of the Gunns winning was almost completely wiped away when Renee got in the ring and you knew we were getting a return, really glad The Final Burial wasn't a spooky cinematic match and thoroughly enjoyed what they did instead. In terms of the stuff I already thought would be great, the main event was one of the best I've ever seen and the finish did nothing to change that for me, Hangman/Mox was the sort of brutality I missed for so long in mainstream wrestling and the trios match was insane, especially the knee to break up the Meltzer Driver, crowd was awesome for it too. Just absolutely loved it, it had everything you'd want from a PPV from comedy to a bloodbath to technical excellence to a heel turn to a return plus massive spots, a red hot invested crowd, some title changes and a lot more...yeah, can't speak highly enough of it. Only letdown was Joe/Wardlow but they kind of got the cool down spot and didn't do anything actually bad.

Easy 9/10 for me. Not much gripes except for the Ass Boys retaining.
Best Match: Texas Death Match/Iron Man Match (A Tie)
Worst Match/Moment: Ruby Soho Heel Turn and its not even close

7 for me. (originally had an 8...changed in hindsight)
Not a fan of some of the endings/decisions (as well as MJF's blatant cheap heat) and death matches aren't my thing.
One of my favorite AEW PPVs in awhile from an experience standpoint but ultimately it always sucks when i remember the drama surrounding a show more than the matches it included.
I already know this will be one of those shows due to a variety of things mostly centered around MJF.
That feeling of "do we always have to shit where we eat"/"This is why we can't have nice things" has become normal for me with AEW

Actually caught some of the matches online, pretty solid stuff from what I’ve seen so by that I’ll give it a 9. AEW knocked it out of the park here. still highly disappointed Bryan didn’t win the title, if there was a time to do it, now should of been it.
