People can watch whatever they want, and view it through whatever perspective they want. If that's all they do then it's annoying as hell. People can watch however they want, but they shouldn't be mad if somebody pushes back on their constant complaints. You're getting way too defensive and I suggest you read my most recent thread as this isn't a good vibe.

Nobody's been overly critical of the show in this thread and the overwhelming majority of poll votes are positive so I don't really see what has provoked your post. It comes off more like you're annoyed that people who enjoyed the show didn't enjoy it as much as you did. This company is nitpicked to death and I'm calling out those people who did that. I think you are taking this a bit too personally, man Some of us nitpick the shit out of our favourite things in the world

Just changed my vote from didnt watch to 7.
This is because I did, in fact, watch it after all last night after seeing the positive feedback most of the show was getting.
I'd agree with that. It was objectively a good show. I did feel it was over booked in places, and Iron Man matches are never going to be my cup of tea, but yeah, it was a better show that I expected it was going to be, and I enjoyed parts of most of it.
It lost points for stipulation over booking, over use of blood, a dumb decision with the women and the clustery FTR 'fooled you lolz' return.

I think this show was paced fantastically, and I've been very vocal about the poor pacing of past AEW PPVs so I must give them props here; with a show where the main event was 80 minutes long (including entrances and aftermath), every other match got the right amount of time and nothing dragged, it was such an easy watch start to finish. Each match was perfectly placed in the right position on the card and its the kind of thing that you only notice with a badly paced PPV so well done to whoever put the card order together.
I think I'd rate their 3-PPV run of All Out '21, Full Gear '21 and Revolution '22 higher (to me that is the joint-greatest run of PPVs of all time, up there with Royal Rumble '01, No Way Out '01 and Wrestlemania X-Seven) but this is a definite 'best of the rest' PPV. 9/10 for me.
I know people have been down on AEW recently and they definitely catch shit that no other wrestling company does, but a big part of that is that they have set ridiculously high standards for themselves in their almost 4 year history; it almost feels like a 9 or 10/10 show for them is their standard and anything below that is a major disappointment; which quite frankly is crazy. they really are a victim of their own success in this way. I still have issues with how they set up the majority of their PPV cards through their television booking but the PPVs themselves almost always deliver; and this one was no exception.

Incredible show. It honestly irks me at just how great MJF is as a wrestler because his character is just so shit lol
Show ruled from top to bottom.
Starks beating Jericho, Jungle Boy beating turtleneck Christian, HoB vs Elite being batshit crazy, women's match delivering, Adam Page making Mox tap out, FTR returning, that insane main event. Just bravo.
Easily a 10 for me. The only thing that would bring it down a little is the fact I don't care for Wardlow at all but otherwise a perfect show

I really need to rewatch the show; I was so swamped with work during it that I couldn't give it my full attention until basically the main event.
That said, I 100% bit on thinking Danielson was going to pull it off, good Lord was that well executed.

Danielson taking the ‘Yes’ motion out of storage twice totally fooled me into thinking he was winning. He’d always been super adamant he’d never do it in AEW. Massive night, insanely watchable with a bunch of satisfying finishes and suffering only where it didn’t breathe a bit which is textbook AEW.

I went with a 10 because while I drug my feet on buying the show putrefy for financial reason I ultimately pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did.
Three 5 star matches that couldn’t be any more different (trios, Texas death, main event) is always gonna get high marks from me. And the rest of the card delivered as well.
AEW PPVs continue to absolutely kill it.

That and the moment where he was laughing as MJF was crying. It gave the feel that he was thinking "I have this completely in the bag". I definitely had him as the winner at that point. The storytelling in this match was so good.

The show is getting overwhelmingly positive reviews.

I know seeing nitpicks can be annoying or negative posts can be annoying, but when the overwhelming sentiment is this was a great show or one of AEW's best PPV's ever, you can't let any minor negative takes control how you feel this much Not everyone's same and how they feel about stuff is gonna vary. I just don't want to see you get so upset about this you make enemies out of everyone and feel you have to leave again. We've seen enough of that lately tbh

Way I look at it is nothing can ever be 100% perfect. There are always going to be flaws in something. I rated this a 10 because that was the max amount of enjoyment I can get from a show minus Danielson actually winning. But that's not to say there are not things to nitpick and say "ok this stuff was good but it could be better."
I mean, the women's match was fine but ended abruptly and had the weird angle at the end. Warlow/Joe was a fine match but never got into 2nd gear and some people didn't like the fact Joe tapped out to his own submission. MJF/Danielson was like top 3 iron man matches all time, but is marred by the fact that MJF did a stupid thing and ended up winning.
But none of that takes away from the excellent stuff from JB/Christian to the absolute war Mox and Hangman had. Or even the amazing match that MJF/Danielson had regardless of its flaws. It's ok to acknowledge and talk about the bad with the good.
