This was such a fantastic way to close out Raw. You had Roman at his gaslighting best, hinting at something more for Solo, and Cody with a nice response to Roman's promo.

I feel like the shooty shit's getting overplayed but "You ran away, started your own company, and ran away again when you didn't get over" was f***ing BRUTAL, I loved it

Cody's delivery was bit more low-key than I was expecting but by and large I thought it was a very good segment.

Cody is totally living up to the hype and it was fun to watch Heyman’s reactions because I couldn’t tell if it was “oh my god, he’s becoming a top guy before our eyes,” “Roman is gonna eat you,” or both.
And for all the talk about the Sami/Roman stuff, I kind of feel like Roman’s best promos of this whole run have come during this feud. It doesn’t seem as paint by numbers as some of the other recent Bloodline feuds.

I think that was Cody’s best promo of the year. I liked that his barbs at Roman were all in storyline. God knows there’s a lot of shooty shoot crap you could throw Roman’s way about failed pushes and main eventing Mania as a babyface even though every crowd hated him.
I just like the story they’ve chosen and it fits the reality too. Roman is kind of trying to show that Cody doesn’t belong main eventing Wrestlemania with a star like him and he’s not a threat. Each week, Cody proves more and more that he does belong. They really haven’t done anything other than talk, but they’ve kept the storyline in the spotlight and this finally feels like a match where the stakes are high and it really matters who wins - which I haven’t always felt from recent Mania main events.

Yeah this storyline has been great so far. Very limited interaction between these two so far and still feels like a big match and worthy of a WM main event.

Why would you chant "what?" during a segment like this? Ugh.

I wish, when talking about everybody leaving him, Cody would have said “You won’t be head of the table; You’ll be alone at the table.” Other than that, good stuff.

Everything about this build shows me that Cody should win at Mania. Don’t waste this opportunity WWE.

They haven’t done a lot of wild swerves with this angle, which is good. If the plan is for the Bloodline to actually start eroding post Mania (and let’s be honest, how much more mileage can they get from Roman escaping karma? No one’s left for him to beat), it looks like they’ve got it all laid out.

Cody is outsmarting and out mind-gaming Roman in a way that probably only Seth has done during this Tribal Chief run. You can tell Roman would love to sick the Bloodline on Cody but after Cody called him out a few weeks ago about always needing their help it's like he's self-conscious about it now and doesn't want to look like a coward who can't get the better of Cody himself, to the point he's not even letting Solo attack him.
I hope they don't have Roman and Cody come to blows until Wrestlemania. They shouldn't touch until the opening bell. On Smackdown they can maybe do something to set up Cody/Sami/KO v Solo/Usos for the go-home Raw then one final Roman/Cody promo on the go-home Smackdown.

Planting the seed in Roman Reigns' head that Solo Sikoa will leave him is really a brilliant play by Cody Rhodes.
In the back of his mind and in his heart of hearts, Roman knows that he had to effectively gaslight and abuse both Jey and Jimmy to fall in line with him. He even had a brief moment of trepidation with Paul Heyman when Brock Lesnar returned last year. But Solo Sikoa has been his loyal lieutenant from the moment he arrived in WWE at Clash at the Castle. Even though Solo is Jimmy and Jey's brother, he's been Roman's right-hand man for the past several months, taking orders and direction without a hint of doubt. There's a reason why Roman told Solo to take care of Sami Zayn at the Trial of Sami Zayn, because he knew he'd do it without hesitation.
So when Cody tells Roman that Solo will leave him, that one really stings Roman, because he's never known Solo to be anything but undyingly loyal. That's why he had that look on his face when he turned around and saw Solo coming face-to-face with Cody. It was really the first time Solo had ever disobeyed him - even if Solo was doing it with Roman's best interests in mind.
If this is "Goodfellas" and Roman is Jimmy, Solo is absolutely Henry, while The Usos are both Tommy. Roman/Jimmy knew The Usos/Tommy were unpredictable, hot-headed wild cards, but Solo/Henry is the one he could always trust with total conviction. That's why the thought of betrayal from Solo will sting far more than The Usos.

Not really a big fan of the shooty stuff. Couldn't Roman have said something like "the fans turned on you" instead of saying he couldn't get "over"?
