NXT really didn’t give Roxanne much of a chance as champion. Her reign was a misfire imo.

I loved it. That pairing with Dexter Lumis showing up and helping her win because InDex is OTP! NOW THAT'S LONG TERM STORY TELLING! Long term booking that’s lived through three different NXT eras (Black and Gold, 2.0, HBK).

It seemed odd to me I'll admit at the time she won it because it felt like there was very little, if any, build to her becoming even a challenger let alone the champion. There was more build for Gigi or Tiffany to win it I feel. I do wonder though if Jacy would've won it had she been in the match.
But yeah, I'd be surprised if she held the belt for long. Wait and see I guess though.

Maybe they had her drop it so she can take time off to deal with the mental issue side of things? And then she'll be back and maybe even become a 2-time champion. Unless of course she ends up on RAW/SmackDown after Mania.

It's kinda been a subtle ongoing thing, where she was trying to act like a locker-room leader, but wasn't as respected as she thought she should be given her longevity there (even snapping at Perez a few times). Then there was losing her first attempt to get into this match, and her snapping backstage with Stark mocking her backstage. Not the greatest of build to Indi being the winner, but there was some there.

I feel like she's getting a very brief thank you run, just for being popular and liked backstage, before she goes off to be a tag team with Candice. Fully expect her to lose on Tuesday, and then debut as a 'former NXT champion.' It was just something nice to get the fans excited with Lumis that early in the AM, and potentially give Indi a tag line for the call up. Well, that's what I'd do anyway! I honestly wouldn't be shocked if she debuted this week to team with Candice. She can always drop it later or be stripped of it because of her "new main roster duties". or they can claim they are relinquishing them... be told she cna't do that.. defend her title.. and then relinquish it anyway >_> I.e. The Viking Raiders rule! >_>

But yeah, I just don't think it was a good call personally speaking but I'm not MAD about it either.

It was a surprise win, but a pleasant one. Indi played the moment leading up to Dexter helping her very nicely, I thought. And she's beloved by the locker room so it was sweet to see. Also pretty cool timing having her and Rhea win on the same day.

I just want to say thank Jah that Tiffany is built like a brick shithouse or that ladder topple spot would have been really bad.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Roxanne and Tiffany are main roster bound whether they're ready or not. lol

The MR women’s divisions, both of them, do desperately need a refresh post-Mania.
How to do that however, is the question?

Kinda feels like it's at the same stage it was when the Riott Squad made their MR debuts in the same week as Mandy and Sonya with the return of Paige.

I'm cool with it, honestly. She seemed so genuinely happy at the start of the show and the crowd was happy for her as well and I could use more of that right now. The match with Zoey was also pretty solid.

Yeah, I'm fine with giving her a short reign. I never did like that episode of RAW where they had Rey win the WWE title only to drop it straight back to Cena at the end of the same episode.
