I’m happy for Indi, she got at least one successful defense. But I still don’t see her as a long term champion.
Tiffany or Cora should win the belt reasonably soon. I’m just not sure which one I think should get it first?

Not taking anything away from Tiffany whose made great strides since her initial debut, but for anybody being a champ adds a new level of scrutiny (even on NXT) that may not hide some of her weaknesses.

I am inclined to think she won it largely to give her something, and that she can probably more easily afford losing the title quickly. Giving her a title defense this quickly solidifies to me that she will not be champion long.
She's probably either transitioning the title to someone they didn't want Roxanne losing to, or they want Roxanne to win it back in some triumphant moment, and wanted someone who could fill the Ron Garvin role because, if you do that to Gigi or Tiffany, etc, you risk damaging them longterm.
Indi... well, not to take anything away from her, but I don't think she as a character is ever going to be presented as a major player, so this will be her resume builder, and she'll likely go back to doing character work like she was doing before. Not a bad thing at all, you need it on a show, but this will quite possibly be her only time winning the title.

Yeah, Stratton is improving at a massive rate of knots, but I'd give her another six months to cook before giving her the belt, to see if that improvement continues or she starts to level out having reached a ceiling.
