Is there a Saudi show right after Wrestlemania?
If that's the case, I can see them having pull too for getting WWE Champion The Rock to finally work one of their shows over there.
All signs point towards money, money and more money for this decision sadly.

Idk if I can see a pivot. Let me preface this by saying I HATE THIS AS MUCH AS THE REST OF YOU. But money talks, and we are a vocal minority, WWE's younger, more casual-leaning, less irony-poisoned audience f***ing looooves Cody, there's no 'vocal minority' here. People want to see this and in the end, the normie fan does care about the show they watch and want to enjoy it. This is getting backlash on all fronts, no noteworthy segment of wrestling fandom is happy about this. |

He's by far the most over face they have, and considering how badly last years mania is booked that is truly impressive. If they keep jerking him around like this however, eventually hte crowds will stop caring about him because it become apparent no matter how much you like someone hte WWE aren't going to push them... it's happened hundreds of times in the past. |

If they do pivot and swerve us it'll be challenging (not impossible) writing and booking. Maybe we could have a bash at it ourselves.
The obstacles are:
- In kayfabe Cody was not screwed nor put under pressure. He willingly stated on live TV he wasn't going after Roman at WM. Do they book an angle where Cody was being threatened/blackmailed (Rock's whisper into his ear) is it a long con with Rock and Cody in cahoots etc.
- Rock probably wants/needs to stay face for Hollywood/PR reasons which cuts off a few avenues you can take the story.
- Jacob Fatu is probably all but signed and will debut in the Rock/Roman story. Plans to use the story to elevate Solo and maybe Jey have already been made.
- There's Seth's match, having succeeded in persuading Cody to challenge for the WHC (which Roman helpfully buried) he and his challenger are going to look like goobers if Cody swerves everyone.
