I just find this shit exhausting. So tired of the biggest running drama in this company being, "Will the writers tell a satisfying story or f*** it up for heat again?" The night after WrestleMania 36, they said "Big Show actually challenged Drew for the WWE Championship after the main event last night, we'll show you that match later tonight on RAW!" and then we had to sit there for 3 hours and wonder if they really had Big Show win the WWE Championship in the darkest dark match of all time. What people don't know is that match was actually the WM main event promised in his contract, not the 2000 4-Way

Starting to realize the only reason I liked Rock way back when is because he wasn't Austin. And yet Austin last year in a win *checks the tape* put over a current talent and made them a bigger star. Steve Austin hadn’t wrestled in 20 years and just by choosing Owens he made him a big deal. THAT is how a returning star should do it. Take notes Dwayne.

Dwayne said some bullshit about hanging out with Cody when they were kids because Rocky Johnson and Dusty teamed up in Florida. They teamed up in the 70s. He might have hanged out with Dustin, Cody was born in 1985. 18 year old Dwayne wasn't hanging out with 5 year old Cody in 1990. Need a Young Rock episode where 16 year old Dustin and 13 year old Dewey are babysitting and trying to get Dustin’s new baby brother Cody to stop crying but don’t realize its because Dewey never finished telling the baby his bedtime story.

That the match wasn't just Austin doing his greatest hits while Kevin Owens got nothing in was good in of itself, but the fact that Austin bumped for Owens and even took a Stunner from him made it even better.

That suplex on the floor though was both a moment I winced and also thought “Jesus Austin is into this.”

Nowhere did I say anything negative about Austin coming back to get Owens over. Just that the "Angry Redneck who stunners an entire ring full of people" act did nothing for me when I was young.

I can't wait for this damn press conference because I feel like it will give us a direction in which to either get pissed or get excited

I will say one thing, this drama is really frustrating but I have never been excited for a wrestling press conference before.

The Rock's promo pretty much confirms that WM40 ends with Cody winning the belt.
A few pages ago someone asked why anyone should care about Rock vs Roman as they haven't built a story. Is Cody challenging Roman and winning in a total foregone conclusion even that good a story? Don't remember a huge amount of praise for it prior to last week.
Was a weird start but Cody as the uber face, Roman as the heel and The Rock as The Rock seems like the best of all worlds.

In the case, the guy who’s getting f***ed over here is Roman whose potential conclusion of his historic reign could be overshadowed by his cousin. It seems like they’re building to Roman vs Seth and Cody vs the Rock lol

I think I love the confidence on "that promo is proof The Rock is working and Cody's getting his Roman match" most because it implies The Rock's whole career isn't people catching strays from his weak-ass insult work, and like it's impossible he'd just cut a quick promo dismissing this and move on. Like, if he was moving forward on this, he wouldn't just ignore stuff, he'd do exactly what he did where he made up some lame name and talked about mcnuggets. That's his entire thing.

Is Cody handing his opportunity off for no good reason to some other guy and then having to run back to get it, but keep that new guy who has nothing to do with any of this in the match, any better? The 'huge amount of praise' you're not remembering is the crowd reaction after Cody won the Rumble. I don't know where there's even room to act like this wasn't something WWE's audience wasn't all in on and ready to consider a satisfying and good story as written. A simple story is sometimes the best one.

I'm still thinking about SRS referencing his own tweets to allude to what he's saying like they're well known catchphrases. I'm gonna start referencing my gay web novels to hint at the true intentions behind my posts.

Looking at that Rock interview I think they are going to pivot because Rock is doing some great work to build a Rock vs Cody match right now.

Remember when Shaq was (kayfabe) beefing on TNT with Cody and called him "Cody Cupcake?"
I think I preferred that to #CodyCrybabies.
Also, 6 PM CT is pretty late in the day for a press conference, right? Especially for a weekday?
