I'm not gonna fact check you, but I am gonna ask you on your honor, is any of this true? It's real and can hurt you and features Karl Urban You can always watch Dredd 2012 afterwards to make up for a better Karl Urban experience.

I'm going to guess the ending payoff is either Roman manages to piss Rock off enough to turn on him during the build, Cody gives Rock some big come to the light promo, or it turns out the whole thing is Cody and Rock playing the long game. Either way I'm relatively positive at this juncture that Mania ends with Rock helping Cody win the belt. Only way I accept that is if Rock takes Solo out or something. I really need Roman to definitively lose this title to Cody and not in a way where it looks like he needed any help, because that shit just would blow...

If she's lying, it's not like you're going to suffer Doom (2005) to find out I have a lot of time on my hands currently, and yet, I will not watch Doom (2005). I went to the theater to watch that garbage. But I blame my cousin because he went to every rock movie for a stretch. The rundown and walking tall as well. I remember watching walking tall and thinking I was watching a TV movie in a theater

Honestly, I see Cody overcoming both Rock and Roman, and then the post-Mania fallout is basically paving the way to turn Roman face for his match versus the Rock. I.E., Rock having the Bloodline punish Roman for failing the "family".

Cody and a partner vs Rock and Reigns night 1 mania. Cody gets beaten and bloodied bad..All day , Day 2 the rumor is Cody can't wrestle, but as Reigns goes out to brag how badly he beat up Cody and all. Cody limps out all bandaged.. beats Reigns, story over, fireworks go to credits.

So it is also 2000s Dukes of Hazard. Which is Dukes of Hazard but they recognize the Confederate Flag is a bad thing.

I think the Rundown is the only Rock movie I've seen in theaters and I think the only other ones I've seen period are Pain & Gain and Be Cool.
For the good of all of humanity I have to assume Be Cool is his worst movie. I have to assume it is THE worst movie.

Either way I'm relatively positive at this juncture that Mania ends with Rock helping Cody win the belt. Maybe, but it'd be a shame to finally get Rock somewhat interesting again and lose it in 2 months. If I was booking it, I'd keep them together, Cody wins. Next night on RAW, Rock directs Jimmy, Solo (maybe Jacob Fatu too) to attack Roman Reigns and exile him out of the Bloodline. He's let the family down. Then you can go to Summerslam or Mania next year and do Rock vs Roman with Roman as the face. Roman wins to take back the Tribal Chief status but he's an honourable face this time. They'll probably both retire soon after anyway.

I thought that at first but now I’m not so sure. If some sort of Rock/Roman alliance was planned from the get-go, I don’t know how you get there from the start. It wasn't planned from the get-go. I don't know how you look at the past week of content and how everyone behaved before tonight and go "Everyone's doing the precise thing they were intended to do in the story". With what happened last week, it was looking more like Roman vs Rock in the main event. Just like with Daniel Bryan 10 years ago, WWE had no choice but to pivot. Last week's vid getting shelled with dislikes, Rock getting booed, fans making it very clear they want to see Cody get his moment....I tell you what, with the kind of backlash they were getting and Wrestlemania being in Philly, where the crowd is known to be raucous, that match would be shit on so badly. Definitely not worth the risk of having them put on a stinker of a match either. Rock hasn't been in the ring in over a decade, and he didn't look particularly good the last time he wrestled. If he was gassed and injured the last time around, I wouldn't like his chances in this match either. Shouldn't have executed this dumb angle in the first place. Cody coming out and stepping aside for The Rock to take his rightful spot in the main event made him look second rate. They should've learned from the Daniel Bryan situation.

I saw Black Adam in theaters because my friend is a huge superhero movie fan, but I haven't seen many Rock films in theaters They all blend insanely together. Most Rock characters are just the exact same character and once you realize that it's almost monotonous You could watch him change things up and do a horrible Danny Devito impression the ENTIRE TIME in the second Jumanji Reboot movie though...

It was a great segment all together, a little assbacks how we got here but things are interesting going forward. I really do think it’s WWE trying to manufacture their own Mania 30 moment, but then again like The Rock they could really be that naïve.
I don’t know who scripted all that but there was at least twice where Cody would say something, then the rock would give long winded promo that would lead to the same point. I think I shouted at my tv… Yeah I know he just said that. Where I think if the rock was on his game he could have worked on his delivery, so it didn’t just sound like an echo chamber.

Ok, so I've thought about what explanations would make sense for Cody to have initially moved aside for Rock. Here's the only one I can come up with:
Cody thought he was doing the right thing for the fans by stepping aside. He once promised he would never challenge for a World Title in a different company because he thought he was doing the right thing for the fans. Sometimes, doing the right thing for the fans and the business is not the best thing for personal achievement. He did not want to be the reason the fans did not get to see a Rock/Roman match. It wasn't until he saw the reaction of the fans the next day, that's when he realized that he wasn't doing the right thing for the fans by stepping aside. He was not only robbing himself of an opportunity to conquer his dream, but now he was doing something that outraged the people he was actively trying to do right by the entire time. He had to finish the story at WrestleMania.
Cody has a way with words so I'm sure he can twist that to a more coherent promo, but that might be the only logical thing that makes his initial step aside somewhat reasonable without making him look like he cowered to the Rock.

I really can’t join in when people constantly rant on about “none of this was planned! It’s never planned! We fans fought back against the machine!” Like, I don’t *care*. I don’t have any emotional investment in proving the big bad powerful promotion wrong. They eventually settled on a good structure for Wrestlemania 30 and I’m satisfied so long as I’m left thinking Mania 40 was a solid show. Why does it come off to me like some wrestling fans think they’re on some team and they’ve got to score points off the bookers? I agree. I don't understand the line of thinking either. Also, if they course-corrected, so what? If I enjoy a movie, I don't care if how many script-doctors got called in or how many re-writes it took to get to the finished product. The important thing is I liked the movie.

Most of Rock’s movies are passable. Except Red Notice. That shit sucked a big bag.
You know a movie sucks when you can make a cast that charismatic feel Cream of Wheat bland.

Cody cooked Rock (and Roman) with that "what does it matter when neither of you have been doing the cooking for two years" line.
