Nah, I'm actually gonna have to disagree with Seth being the biggest bitch in this Texas Tornado . I initially thought that but I had to change my opinion. For these past 8 months or so Seth's been called Super Seth because the guy was beating fully healed wrestlers while dealing with injuries to the level that the heels attacked those injuries outside of matches. He's been a broken down champion who's somehow still winning these matches. While I gotta agree that Roman shooting him and his belt down is terrible, while I agree Cody picking Roman doesn't help Seth out, if anything this sorta weirdly balances Seth out. The guy's been booked as so strong that it takes Roman badmouthing him and his belt for us to not see how strong he's been booked. That's crazy especially considering it's coming from the guy who cheats in all of his matches due to shenanigans.

Somebody needs to genuinely get to Hausman and explain to him he’s really f***ing up. He pulled the same shit today with Scott D’Amore and if there’s actually something going on, he’s muddying the water for potential victims to come forward. Victims related to Scott D'Amore?

Skyscraper was surprisingly fun and the film Rock did where his ten year old daughter shows up unexpectedly was cute.
Wwe panick pivoting is a ten year tradition it seems. Bret, Benoit, Danielson now Cody.
You all know we're getting a Drew Mac promo on raw about how he saved wrestlemania and I'm already excited.

I wish I could agree but I think this belt has been booked like absolute shit. It doesn't feel any sort of prestigious, the reign's kind of sucked and been completely derailed by injuries. Nothing Roman says about the belt is wrong and he was regulated to a background character for that entire segment. Dude and his belt have been constantly backseated and given the belt is THE BACKSEAT BELT while Roman runs around with two of them really does sum it up. Seth as a whole is still very over and he's ultimately fine but his presentation and how they've tried to gas up the WHC as anything that matters has been frankly embarrassing the last month especially.

I think we can all agree that Cody needs to ride to the ring riding on Falcor, right?

I think the Rundown is the only Rock movie I've seen in theaters and I think the only other ones I've seen period are Pain & Gain and Be Cool. For the good of all of humanity I have to assume Be Cool is his worst movie. I have to assume it is THE worst movie. 'Southland Tales' is infinitely worse than 'Be Cool.' did you know southland tales has a mystifying yet huge cult following?

I get all that, but I’m just thinking about their decisions in this past week. Seth has busted his ass for this company and their entire pivot is all of the wrestlers, fans, and the company itself saying “what a loser ass title”. They didn’t even need to go that hard on it. It’s just a very weird decision to me if they’re not planning on Seth eventually getting his lick back or retiring the belt altogether. He’s the only guy that actually has Roman’s number and he still somehow got lil bro’d. It annoys me lol

I am back to now thinking this has been a work from the start, albeit an entirely unneccessary one (Unless the plan from the start was endpoint triple threat Rock/Roman/Cody, since WM20 and 30 had Triple Threats and HHH likes patterns)
It's been so quick, and the way that people within WWE, from Logan, to Ricochet, to HHH, were acknowledging it on Twitter RIGHT AWAY, Raw first show after it's acknowledged, then the press conference complete with that massive f***ing family tree. WWE's in a ton of turmoil right now but I don't think Triple H would risk going into business for himself on social media with everything hanging over the company's heads. I think this genuinely might have been a totally pointless 6 day work from the off purely to push the Vince horror-story down the wrestling news cycle, and that I got fooled because I couldn't make my mind up for more than 60 seconds. Probably still won't. So in that sense- work, pivot, whatever, doesn't matter at this point. What a weird freaking time this is.

They made such a pig's ear of getting here that I will forever be suspicious that at least part of the intent was key jangling to distract the wrestling press and some hardcore fans from you know what. However, the match is booked and a potential Hollywood Rock return with him determined to hinder Cody's road to WM will make for good TV.

I'm not gonna fact check you, but I am gonna ask you on your honor, is any of this true? It's real and can hurt you and features Karl Urban You didn't even mention the first person sections because it's Doom. Most of Rock’s movies are passable. Except Red Notice. That shit sucked a big bag. You know a movie sucks when you can make a cast that charismatic feel Cream of Wheat bland. But... EGG!

That's my favorite Rock movie. Very underrated. Rock's best movie is The Rundown. One of the most underrated action films of the 2000s. it also featured a lot of cows. >_>

It reminds me beat-to-beat of Becky at WM35, with such a clear and straightforward storyline jackknifed for twists, turns and a 3rd wheel we can just about see the point of but would much prefer a 1 on 1.

I really can’t join in when people constantly rant on about “none of this was planned! It’s never planned! We fans fought back against the machine!” Like, I don’t *care*. I don’t have any emotional investment in proving the big bad powerful promotion wrong. They eventually settled on a good structure for Wrestlemania 30 and I’m satisfied so long as I’m left thinking Mania 40 was a solid show. Why does it come off to me like some wrestling fans think they’re on some team and they’ve got to score points off the bookers? I agree. I don't understand the line of thinking either. Also, if they course-corrected, so what? If I enjoy a movie, I don't care if how many script-doctors got called in or how many re-writes it took to get to the finished product. The important thing is I liked the movie. Exactly! I swear I’m not trying to do a “Stand Up For WWE” thing (certainly not the appropriate time for that *now*), but so long as they eventually come up with a good storyline, I’m satisfied. Can someone explain this? What is the point of fans waving around a victory flag that they “proved” they’re better bookers? Hunter had an idea, it was poorly received, so he scrapped it. The end. It happens. Again, so what? Or is it just retroactive Vince-hate?

For me personally, getting to the desired destination doesn’t retroactively make the story good, and there’s gonna be a whole bunch of folks on other platforms acting like this is some masterful storytelling and not a panic pivot. And given that some people unironically say WWE is Emmy and/or Oscar worthy I think calling out their inability to tell even the simplest story is warranted.

The important thing is I liked the movie. Because you need to trust that those in charge will produce something worth investing in. That everything is building to a logical conclusion. Especially in an ongoing story rather than a one and done movie. GoT ws great until they outpaced the books and didn't know what to do. The MCU was unstoppable building to endgame but have been unfocused since. Star Wars ST was a mess because there was no plan. All of them still have good parts, nothing wrong with finding them entertaining, same as wwe. However with characters acting in baffling ways, retcons, undoing world building, important characters being sidelined, strange returns of the old guys etc it is no longer the same as when you're watching something you trust is building to a logical and coherent conclusion. Even the crap parts are more tolerable if you think they're in service of the bigger story. However if its clear they making it up as they go along it's not worth investing in.

There's always been an aura of "I know better than the stupid booker" whether it be Hunter, Vince, Bischoff, Dixie, etc. I can't say I loved how they got to Bryan's moment at WM 30, but the end result was Bryan standing triumphantly on the announce desk, rising the titles in the air to fireworks. I LOVED that moment. If we get that here, I'll feel the same way. It's like taking a road trip to Disney. As long as I get to Disney, I won't care that the car got a flat and I ended up lost off course in rural Georgia on the way down. I'll remember wearing the stupid Mickey ears and standing on Main street in the Magic Kingdom

The Rock mis-read the room when pushing for the one on one match vs Roman this year specifically at the expense of Cody Vs Roman, his last exposure to the potential of that match was probably his head of the table line a few weeks ago which got a huge positive reaction.
The fact that they recognised the response and adjusted so quickly is a good thing in my view and a far cry from how the previous regime would treat the same response.
