Roman f***ing Reigns of all people knows what it’s like to repeatedly get the rug pulled from under him at Mania and should have told Hunter to go f*** himself and he’s gonna strap Cody up.
Unless he damn well knew they weren’t letting him drop the title…

Difference being of course Roman was never getting over as a true face with the crowd, and Cody is the most over face they’ve had since, ironically, The Rock and Austin. Yeah, I don't think Cody's going to have to go heel or anything; my point is that they never actually followed through on their promise despite basically ruining the show to build up the moment, and in the end the big top run that finally paid off was disconnected from it and needed an entirely different magic to happen. There's a 'too long' point where if Roman finally loses to Cody when the audience is already numb to this, it's not going to be as big as it was meant to be, and if the fan response to this is bad enough then it's going to absolutely hurt the moment if/when it finally happens. The worst thing Cody/Roman can be now is an "okay, finally" moment like Roman beating Brock finally was. That’s true but I certainly trust Triple H much more to keep it hot enough for the moment Cody does beat Roman than I did with Vince booking.

I know what'll distract people from the Vince news, let's put the Rock in the match. Minutes later, the entire internet is still talking about the Vince stuff but NOW you have people upset about the product too. A bumbling farting ballet dance of idiocy that'll just turn more people away from drooling and defending the company as a whole. Astoundingly stupid booking especially for the moment. I'm just so glad the women's roster is so strong. There are so many likeable personalities. They have my complete support on this ride to Mania season. Honestly the women's are probably the more enjoyable part of Raw (minus Valhalla), Smackdown and NXT.

It can be salvaged. It just won't be the best possible story ever.
Cody beat Roman at last year's WM = S+ level story Cody beat Roman at this year's WM = A+ level story
Now the Rock's here facing Roman, Cody picks Seth, no matter what they do they can't make an A+ level story, shit probably an A level story because it's too confusing, complex and it's causing too many negative feelings in fans. Say Cody beats Seth and then Rock either gets hurt or it becomes a triple threat, it won't be an A level story because that's purely done for the fan revolt rather than how it should be from a storyline perspective.
Basically pun intended, this is gonna be a B+ level story even if Cody beats Roman at WM. I don't think it'll happen at all so I've got no faith in it. Cody's just gonna beat "I'm barely hanging on" Seth Rollins in a dope match and have the fireworks and shit but it ain't gonna mean much.

Unless he damn well knew they weren’t letting him drop the title… There was a report a bit back that it's entirely up to Roman and Heyman when he loses the belt and it's entirely clear he's never going to lose it. He's passing Sammartino, why would he not when he's being allowed to do it and only has to work like four matches a year?

Ava is the new NXT GM. - Rock's Daughter Nia Jax potentially to main event Elimination Chamber. - Rock's Cousin Roman Reigns undisputed 3+ year title reign. - Rock's Cousin Jimmy vs. Jey potentially at Wrestlemania 40. - Rock's Cousin's You know what, they are all doing VERY well right now heading into Wrestlemania. After winning the title The rock can start a stable of Samoans that dominate the show. Meltzer: Jacob Fatu signs a 5 year deal with WWE. I even read Rikishi is endorsing this signing. We are going to live in the Bloodline Universe FOREVER!

Unless he damn well knew they weren’t letting him drop the title… Sometimes I feel like Roman the person, doesn't really care at all for Cody. Not in a malicious way, but like Cody is someone Roman would never be friends with in real life. Just a business associate only and by that in trade only. Would never been seen out in public together or anything.

Thank God we have the booker of the year, Shawn Michaels, to save us from backstage politicians. Booker of the year and Public Relations master going by the Vengeance presser. I'm listening to the HBK conference call now. Man, they should just let him handle all of the pressers from now on. Can't believe I'm saying that.

Given how Triple H took Sami Zayn being insanely over and on the cusp of being a massive star and a year later had him in the position of, "Oh yeah, that guy exists, I forgot," when he came out at #30 in the Rumble, I wouldn't count on shit. This is the same dude who booked Keith Lee to forfeit the North American title just so he could immediately get squashed for the NXT one by Karrion Kross. Dude's a garbage writer.

...Jesus. f***ing. Christ.
Uh... have we discussed the Bryan/Batista/Orton esque Triple Threat possibility yet? I know he said "not at Mania" but. I mean. He could take that back? Or something?

Unless someone out ranking Hunter made the call. Where does Samoan Lex Luthor rank on the TKO Board? I think they would need a majority to FORCE it to be in the show ,which is possible

It ain't gonna work but that's absolutely what they're gonna do.
It's gonna be bad.

So does Cody's "not at Mania" mean that it isn't a title match or that he already knows Rock is going to lose thus making him even dumber?

The thing about this. If it were to happen. Hypothetically. Does Cody pinning Rock to win the titles and Roman doesn't do a clean pin cheapen the win and the titles for Cody? I think it sadly would.
