Cody's face when Rock came out also really felt like this was just made official because he looked about as heartbroken as I've ever seen him. When Rock pulls him in to whisper in his ear, Cody is smirking through the whole thing, until something Rock says makes his face just immediately reset to a glum default look, like someone just got told their puppy died. Just one moment and then the next and I can only presume The Rock was telling him his Mania plans with Reigns are done, and probably to get the hell out of "his"(as in The Rock's) ring. Just thinking of other instances of this After Shawn beat Bret, HBK yelled at Bret to get the eff out of his ring After Shawn lost to Cena at Mania 25, there was supposed to be a wholesome handshake moment, but Shawn just laid into Cena about not selling his leg After Shawn lost to Hogan, and there was a handshake moment, Shawn was just laying into Hogan Okay, so it's mainly Shawn who has done it

I very rarely get enraged at anything wrestling related, but Cody has been my boy ever since he first left WWE and started popping up on the indies and this has pissed me off royally.
I was lucky enough to meet him (in a supermarket of all places!) in Edinburgh when he was over here with ROH/NJPW with Hanger & the Bucks and he couldn't have been nicer. Supported him ever since and it sucks to see the big moment he's worked his ass off for go south due to the ego of an over the hill gimp.
Also noticed Rock was wearing a "People's Champ" shirt last night. The irony. There's only one People's Champ right now, and it ain't you Dwayne.

Cody's face when Rock came out also really felt like this was just made official because he looked about as heartbroken as I've ever seen him. I think this is why, and correct me if this is not the case because I feel like you’d be right at the forefront of it if it wasn’t, people aren’t absolutely blasting him with the bitch stuff. Like, the guy’s just been absolutely hosed out of almost certainly winning the big one, at least in April, there’s no glory in kicking him while he’s down. Yeah like it does in kayfabe make him look bitch made to step away for The Rock But everyone knows WHY he is, and they're justifiably mad at The Rock instead, and they should be, just as people were mad at HHH for last years Mania. All of this sucks, we just want to see the good feel-good moment you've had sitting in your f***ing laps for TWO YEARS and you'd rather throw it in a dumpster...

Friendly reminder that DDP essentially had to stop calling himself "The People's Champ" when he came to WWE instead of him very rightfully wanting to play up a People's Champ vs People's Champ feud with The Rock...

The more I think about it the more f***ing stupid it is. You have Rhodes go back to back at the Rumble, the first time in 25+ years, you have him there pointing at Roman and you have a really cool moment. And then f***ing this. f*** Dwayne forever, seriously, it's worse than anything Hogan ever did.Well outside of the one obvious thing but that's neither here nor there But yeah Rock always tried to come off as this every man cool guy humbled type for YEARS and as soon as he faced any type of adversity, he f***ing folded and showed himself for the selfish all for one douchebag he actually is Glad Black Adam flopped, dickhead.

Well, yes, haha. Remember The Rock only had 7 bucks, somehow, despite being a third generation wrestler and college football player, he's really faced adversity folks! As he said himself last week, his Dad ONLY made 150k a year in the 1980s, that's practically like being homeless! Good old people champ! f***ing fakeass.

Rock can go to Bitchalla instead tbh. Since he wants to be a God so bad in movies

The Rock was my childhood hero.
I was gutted that he never left WrestleMania as World Champion
A year ago I despised Cody and was glad he lost to Roman.
However Cody's work over the last year has been amazing and he deserved the main event this year and to beat Roman. To put Rock there is an awful decision.

Remember when he felt so bad about stealing candy as a kid from a store that he bought every snickers bar from that store which he publicized on social media. Shit like this makes me appreciate Cena more. I think he was the best representation of the wwe. Although he’s had his mistakes and probably has somewhat of a sizable ego (I mean i would too if I were John f***ing Cena), but he seems like a genuine dude who wants to see others succeed and doesn’t publicize any of his good deeds.

Rocky’s a hard worker, sure. And he really does seem to grind with the best of ‘em. But he had a ridiculous number of lucky breaks that few other people would’ve had fall directly into his lap.

I can only think, and apparently Meltzer thinks this is the case, that Rock only committed to it a day or two ago, and that Rhodes was booked to win the Rumble with every intention that he was going to fight Reigns. Cody's face when Rock came out also really felt like this was just made official because he looked about as heartbroken as I've ever seen him. That's why I believe wor Dave (for now) it was a million and one Sasha faces at once, almost as if he'd been told hours before. Dustin's twitter might be one to keep an eye on for the next few days, he is of an age where he speaks his mind.

Very disappointing, hard for me to think of a time when WWE's momentum both inside and outside the ring has swung so hard in the opposite direction in such a short space of time.
There's still time to change course again and I wouldn't be surprised if there's some more twists and turns along the way but the fact they thought this was a good idea is hard to wrap my head around.

He deserves a gigantic raise if that expression was all acting and I’ll gladly get pelted with tomatoes if he does actually get the title. That was the face of man who is not only sad and angry but also completely dejected. If that’s a work, pull a dwayne and go to Hollywood. Poor bastard.

It's funny when you think about it.
Rock has been brought back to deflect away from the Vince news and to attempt to get some good press. Instead, they get mostly negative reactions from most of the fans. What would have given good press and been a feel good story, was the clean cut guy who does so many positive things for the company and fans finally winning the big one and making everyone happy.
Idiots.
