If you book babyfaces to look like losers then people will stop caring and start booing.
You can only stretch this out so long and Cody losing at Mania, his awful promo last night where he didn’t seem nearly as pissed off as he should have been and just accepted he wasn’t getting a title match when ROMAN DOESN'T BOOK THE SHOW & then Brock beating his arse made him look so bad.
If Cody eventually gets his moment it needs to be soon as possible. Any longer and you’re risking the fans turning on him the same way they did in AEW.

As mentioned, if this is how they treat Cody, then how are they gonna treat Kenny and The Bucks if they come over? Kenny would be fine , probably in the AJ type of role. If I were the Bucks I wouldn’t sign if Vince is in charge. |

I think my issue was, why the hell was Cody's entrance as pyro filled and grandstanding as usual last night? Dude should have walked into the ring with a purpose and went right at Roman on the mic. Maybe he had to stall for the same non kayfabe reason AEW shows screech to a halt during Jericho entrances so that the fans can get their singing out of the way, but that immediately takes you out of the moment seeing Cody smiling and playing to the crowd less than 24 hours after his dream was taken from him.

As mentioned, if this is how they treat Cody, then how are they gonna treat Kenny and The Bucks if they come over? RAW opens with OMOS squashing them in a 3 on 1 match where they don't even get an entrance and their names are Dingus McGee, Jonny Butts and Kenny. |

I thought his emphasis on "competitor" was enough to convey that he was calling out that he got screwed. Apparently not, and yet there are a lot of people who complain that there's not enough subtlety/read between the lines moments in wrestling Subtlety can be great, but this circumstance did not call for it. He should have called a spade a spade. Sure, but reading the live thread, you would have thought Cody said "Gee wiz, Roman. You sure did take me down a peg". I can get being annoyed at him not being more direct, but there was a vast overreaction happening |

I hadn’t watched WWE in well over a year, I decided to watch Mania and after the first night I thought I’d missed out, leading up to the Rhodes/Reigns I thought might 2 was good but for the bad booking, after Reigns/Rhodes I figured, ok they’ll do something to attempt to remedy this on Monday Night Raw since they’ve been hardcore advertising the “Raw after Mania” and well they lost me again. It’s just a bunch of things happening and getting absolutely no payoff for your efforts as a fan.
Cody had his shot and lost, he had a chance to step back up on Raw and instead accepted a tag match, he walked out of that tag match looking like a bigger doofus than he did the night before.
Why should I care about or root for a loser who gets one upped constantly?

Apparently Belair being a dominant asskicker babyface is killing the division and possibly enabling racism, so we can’t be doing that for anyone. |

One thing I will say.
Cody is probably damned lucky that the "After-Mania" RAWs aren't what they used to be, or they'd have been chanting "RUB-BER CHICK-EN!" at him all night and he'd be associated with rubber chickens for the rest of his WWE run.

I want some pissed off babyface methodically taking out each and every Bloodline member over the course of the week leading to the PPV. Let's use Sami Zayn as an example. 1. Solo gets found batter and out cold backstage on Raw, no one sees or knows anything. 2. Later on Raw, Jimmy gets jumped while on the apron in the middle of a tag match by Sami. Multiple chair shots to his previously injured leg before Jey can come to his rescue. Sami escapes through the crowd. 3. Bloodline sticking closer together and on high alert on Smackdown. Roman and Heyman plan to leave the show early but Jey calls out Zayn on behalf of his brother. Sami answers him and to the two brawl, Sami eventually getting the upper hand and stomping on Jey's ankle while in a chair (or something similar that would cause a short-term "injury"). Sami stands tall heading into PPV. 4. Roman and Heyman are surrounded by security all night at PPV. Roman makes his entrance and security blockade the entrance ramp. Sami's music hits but he jumps from the crowd and hits running big boot (an out of the ring Helluva Kick?) on Heyman. Heyman goes down and Sami gets in the ring to start the match. Roman is now completely alone and has to win like that. From that point, make the choice to have him win clean or through heel tactics or straight up loose, but at least it wouldn't just be another "ref bump, Bloodline interference, spear, Roman wins lol" ending. |

I don't believe they have any big plan for Cody to overcome greater odds on his way to be the champion. I don't think he's going to be the champion at this point.
WWE needs to realize that many people view wrestling as a sport. In sports, falling to adversity is often seen as weakness, not a part of a long hero's journey. There are still lots of football fans who think Peyton Manning is a choker, even though he won 5 MVPs, played in four Super Bowls and won two championships, because it took a decade to win his first title and his teams lost in several prominent positions as a favorite. Having a babyface continually lose on the road to some great victory isn't always the visual they think it is.

If you want to believe that Cody is still going to win at Summerslam, then more power to you. But I remember when Drew couldn’t win because Roman was going to lose at Mania, and when Sami couldn’t win because Cody was going to beat him at Mania. I’m going to believe Roman will lose after he’s pinned and the show has gone off the air. Not a moment sooner. or that the turnbuckle breaking meant that Finn was going to get his rematch and win... or that Kevin Owens surely has to win THIS time... or... we've done this song and dance before... if history continues to repeat itself the Mania main event is leading to Nothing. |

Roman can win but only because of Jey, who is now out of the Bloodline and out for Roman's blood. Literally, I will take anything over the Bloodline standing tall and never f***ing progressing. |
