I wonder how much work it will take to cover up the neck tattoo each day before filming. Someone said when he got it that hmif he wanted to get into Hollywood that tattoo was the worst f***ing choice and it really was. He said it put the kibosh on his political aspirations too. |

Even MK9 Johnny Cage didn't make tattoo decisions as bad as Cody. Honestly just can't picture him in the role, he's too slick where Johnny's always kinda the butt of the joke even at his most successful. Honestly if not for genderflipping the role, he'd make a much better Sonya, and couldn't do worse than the last time a WWE roster member played her. Besides, we already have a perfect Johnny.  |

To be fair, apart from the Bull, all of Rock's ink is cultural, so all it takes is a line in passing about his Polynesian heritage (or a whole Samoan subplot, like in Hobbs & Shaw). Batista's roles are pretty evenly split between serious roles where he's all covered up to draw attention away from his larger than life physique, or meatheads who would probably have all those tattoos in-story. Cody's tattoo is just so "American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes TM that they have no choice but to cover it up. There's no role he can play with that tattoo except Special Guest Star Cody Rhodes. |

I am now picturing a room full of Hollywood's top make-up artists all in a room with Cody, ranging from crying to baffled to frightened, because nothing any of them can do is able to cover up the neck tattoo. If anything, it keeps getting sharper and more vivid despite all their best efforts.
