Aside from all the awful Cody stuff After this f***ing long of Roman’s dog shit run, The Rock is gonna end it? WTF or Reigns wins and is champ for another year. Which means another year where I am not watching. Which is a shame, I want to watch again. But I just can't stand Roman Reigns. He's the reason I stopped watching years ago when WWE was ramming him down our throats constantly. And I have no desire to watch the show whilst he is the face of the company.

Yeah, and it was in a much worse match on a much worse PPV Which is kind of the issue here, they've blown it. WE. DON'T. KNOW. THAT. Two months to go, a lot can change and I'd put good money out that it WILL change. Yeah apparently plans changed for this too, Cody got screwed over after the Rumble if Meltzer is correct Fun isn't it? How terrible the booking still is?

This is really stupid, but I think it's happening. There's no reason to have Cody say he isn't doing it at Mania if he isn't. If it was a swerve to set up a triple threat, you'd have more weeks of Cody agonizing his decision. I think it's happening and they're either A) panicking because of the Seth/Punk injuries or B) Rock is insisting on Mania because EC wouldn't be on a prime US viewing time. Want to confirm before I sell my Night 2 ticket but I'm only flying across if it was Cody/Roman. I FULLY SUPPORT THIS DECISION NOW.

They easily could have had Cody beat Roman at Mania, and then the night after you set Roman and Rock up for a year down the line like they did with Cena.
Somehow the ultimate part timer cicumventing the Royal Rumble winner to fight another part time for the company's top title is bad storytelling.
Also Michael Cole should've been whipped for his snippy little "Beat him" comment at the Rumble. I haven't let that go yet.

I’m not the one saying they’re going to do it at EC. I’d say it’s more likely it’s done at MITB or Summerslam None of which matters because they've already blown this storyline The end game was Mania, not Roman dropping the belt on a lesser PPV, and that's on WWE for having built it up like that I don't think Roman's losing the belts there either.

No way Rock is winning the title. And I think the match could be real bad. Rock is a giant musclebound 50 year old who got gassed doing a couple things on Raw. They are gonna have a sloooooow match with lots of standing around staring.

What's worse here honestly? Rock ending the title reign? Roman retaining? Rock ending it would be a disaster. A nearly 52-year-old actor who hasn’t wrestled regularly in two decades ending the most carefully protected title reign in 30-plus years would be such a colossal misstep.

Yeah I gave up cuz of Reigns too. It's not just that he's been the top guy nearly a decade, but the way they book him as SOOOOOOOOO far above everyone else and make it clear nobody really matters even a little bit compared to him just broke the last bits of "maybe they can get better" thoughts in my mind.

From a business pov: the event is already sold out, the Network/Peacock subscriptions are not going to spike with casuals tuning in because the causals already watch: they like Cody! The Netflix deal is already signed, the t-shirts will sell like hotcakes even if they put Karrion Kross v Jimmy Uso in the main event, it's the event of Mania itself that sells not the matches.
Rock v Roman should be a special attraction match in Saudi (where the crowd would probably appreciate it more) and your Mania event and build should complement the storylines you've been working on all year.

I'd take it. Beat his ass, actor who I didn't have any interest in seeing come back 20 years ago, much less now.

Rock honestly might win so he’s got the championship to tote around while he’s shilling the start of the minor league football season in April.

And seriously, f*** Dwayne Johnson.
He's screwed over Cody Rhodes for his own ego.

What's worse here honestly? Rock ending the title reign? Roman retaining? It's a Lose-Lose Like nobody really wins here, and Cody is the biggest loser...

We don't know where the booking is headed though. This is the big problem with the insistence on screaming that the sky is falling here. Refusing to even step back and wait on something because THE WORST MUST ALWAYS HAPPEN EVEN IF IT'S NOT is completely nonsensical.
