If anything this proves that there's an appetite for more wrestling in the UK and WWE probably undersold themselves on booking an arena. The amount of people willing to spend money on big time events is fantastic for the industry. I don’t think WWE runs Wembley in the near future because they expect people to pay them to host these major events. Like cities bid to host WM and now SS/RR. Puerto Rico paid $1.5m to get Backlash. The Saudis obviously pay millions. The Welsh government helped facilitate CATC because of the tourism boost it would being. Before a ticket is sold they’ve already made money. London/Wembley though, they’re not going to beg you to come. They have major events all the time. They don’t pay you, you pay them for the prestige of performing in their stadium. I thinks it’s like £750k to rent for a major event. Although you obviously make that back and more if you sell well. While that is true, they also don't like being outdone either. I am somewhat expecting an announcement from WWE regarding a Wembley show soon

I do wonder if on hindsight that they wouldn't have scheduled All Out a week later and done a UK Tour, with Television Tapings and House Rules Shows.
Got to think that this will happen again next year, so hopefully this will happen.

No way, hopefully they have years to do UK tours but they will never have this pent up demand across Europe to sell Wembley again.

Yeah, as someone going, doing anything else surrounding it would dilute the moment of having Wembley happen. Like, a Dynamite/Rampage/Collision combo would be cool but also I brought my ticket to go to a wrestling show in a place where I wasn’t even 5 when the last one was. I’m frankly beyond ecstatic about that.

so the newest goal post moving from people on twitter is that the sales are only doing so well because Tony owns Wembley Stadium sighting his dad's attempt to buy Wembley in 2018 which was shut down

Like, Christ, man. Some people have been permanently broken by the fact another big wrestling company exists.

Yeah like I'll openly admit I prefer AEW to WWE but like to think I'm fairly objective to both, but I just cannot understand the tribalism to a predetermined industry to the degree people have... or rather I can get the tribalism but I don't understand the White Knighting that happens

The Monday Night Wars have broken people who think that more than two major companies can't exist without one putting the other out of business. Never mind that WCW was the principle architect of its own demise and even with WWF asserting itself as the dominant company after 1998, WCW could've still existed as a strong #2 if not for a series of very bad business decisions.

I can kinda understand the usual toxic fandom types but can't get my head around these deranged conspiracy theories. If Jericho, R-Truth or Britt Baker were ranting about imaginry conspiracies today there'd be many nodding along saying they have a point.

And it also ignores that WCW being a major threat forced the WWF to put on a better product rather than resting on their laurels. Competition is a great thing. If you love WWE, you should want AEW to make them sweat!

The thing that gets me with some of these conspiracies is that we’re supposed to believe that there’s a lot of parties involved that all know this is going on simultaneously to sell tickets for an event by buying them themselves…and you do it with pro wrestling?
Ticketmaster wasn’t asked to talk at Congress because everyone got their Taylor Swift tickets with zero problem and no controversies, is all I’m saying.

70,000 tickets and zero matches announced?!? AEW is the best.
Assuming Jamie beats Saraya to retain her title, Kenny battles Ospreay and PAC takes on someone like Claudio while Nigel does full show commentator to go all in for the Brits.

Seeing how the seating chart is set up for All In with the long ramp to the ring, this stage setup used for the Canelo fight tonight would be perfect for All In:

This is gonna be it, a yearly event like this where they likely go Global to big stadiums? This will be electric!
