Don't make excuses for them doing something really shitty. The wrestling stuff is the wrestling stuff, but this is gross and it really seems like you're justifying it in a backhanded way. I'm not, I'm sorry if it sounded like I was, but I'm really not Me saying that it just happens is me being disappointed in the fact that it IS how it just happens. I'm not making excuses for anyone, I wish it wasn't how it was. In a perfect world Jeff would just retire and live a peaceful life but it seems like he can't and they don't wanna let him go either Why does he have to wrestle? Why does have have to come back to wrestling? 90% of the roster wrestle like him, he wasn't missed, isn't the roster bloated enough? Do they really need 45-year-old Jeff Hardy on television in 2023? I understand why they might do it, but is anyone really watching wrestling in 2023 for the Hardy Boyz? The longer he wrestles, the more is seems like he does someone dangerous and destructive. Maybe the wrestling is the reason why he's a mess, maybe retiring is the answer. But Tony Khan's just looking for that return pop, so we'll never know.

I totally get wanting the Hardy Boyz reunited for the Wembley show and maybe even Forbidden Door
But a whole ass run feuding with The Firm ain't it. The Firm have like no heat and 2023 Hardyz aren't exactly the best opponents

Even ignoring the multitude of DUIs, Jeff is beyond busted. And you know Matt is going to want to try for the tag title run again even though they had to nix it due to even the Bucks struggling to get a good match out of them. That’s the other thing. They’re both just straight up shot. Use them as ambassadors, whatever. They just don’t need to be wrestling. Jeff is lucky he’s not in prison. If he was one of us, he might be. Basically this, Jeff doesn't need to do crazy shit anymore. You got the highlights out of him you need, just do multi man matches or matches that put other talent over Hell do a Hardy Compound thing, do stuff that's not gonna put Jeff in any serious danger to relapse if it's gonna help

Even putting aside his sobriety, he's f***ing done. He's gone. He's been broken down since his TNA run a decade ago. As a long-time Jeff Hardy fan, that match they had with the Bucks was f***ing awful to watch. He doesn't have it. He hasn't had it for a long time. He's so broken down, and he's in such clear agony whenever he moves around in a ring that it seems cruel to have him do it. Then we bring in the sobriety stuff, and the insane and sleazy shit Matt's doing to keep his meal ticket brother around, and it's all just such an ugly shitshow that I just hate looking at it at all. Right. Honestly disappointed, if not surprised, TK bit into the poison apple again. He’s a big name but he’s got literally nothing to give and so much to lose with nothing to gain. He needs to be a guy that signs autographs at big events and cons, not an active tv performer.

Idk if wrestling is the reason, it's hard to say with an addict, Jeff could be just as likely to relapse sitting on a couch doing nothing, that's how that can be. I wouldn't have brought Jeff back, maybe Khan has too much trust in him and Matt, ultimately, it'll just be whatever, or they'll have major egg on their face in the end, and hopefully that'd be the extent of it if it were.

Hey, let me complain about what I wanna complain about. There's a difference between putting over a young 20-something in Hook and a nearly 50 year old Jeff Hardy. But they're all gonna be put over, is the point, HOOK especially has been propped up hard in this feud. Again. There is a difference between guys putting over a young guy who has a whole future ahead of him and a washed-up has-been who keeps f***ing up simply because the latter is a household name. Why waste resources on keeping Jeff freaking Hardy hot? Why do others have to lose just to keep Jeff relevant?

If anything, I see Private Party putting them over because God forbid anyone outside of Tony's friend zone climb up the ranks in this company.

Like honestly Matt seems like he's halfway to Weekend at Bernies-ing his brother through fan events sometimes given the footage that's made the rounds but. There's really got to be some way to do something with him that isn't having him wrestle. It's the tough decision but like how can asnyone look at the shit he's doing and go "Oh yeah this is good this is drawing"

Why? He offers nothing in the ring and is a complete liability.

Idk what classifies as "Tony's friend zone" but a number of wrestlers have been on the rise this year that really weren't the previous year Matt and Jeff like Private Party a lot. I could see it.

Yeah, we're getting Punk back. Tony's getting every big name he to sell out Wembley regardless of how problematic they are.

It seems like a lot of folks there at AEW are super happy to have him back. Doesn't make it right but maybe they've seen something in him that we haven't. All you can do is hope he's okay. Fools love a fool.

And yeah, Punk’s coming back. If putting people in danger by driving under the influence wasn’t enough to keep someone away, ranting with a mouthful of muffins and a scuffle won’t either.

Surprised at how little blowback there is on their socials and such, Twitter usually lets AEW have it if they don't like a move. A lot of people just really want Jeff to be ok. Like there's some angry comments of course but not widespread, a lot of the top trends are people really happy and hoping.
This is why I said they're gambling. A lot of people just really love Jeff no matter what and want to see him succeed/be happy in wrestling
Can it be done? Idk, but they're gonna try it. It could blow up in their faces but as of right now this seems to be working out in terms of the reception
Granted I'm only looking at Youtube, Twutter, and here, which has been the most negative reaction wise. Idk how places like Reddit look.

Fools love a fool. Would you rather people just tell Jeff to f*** off on socials that work within the company? I'd rather Jeff have people who surround him and support him if he's really gonna try this again than not. It's not a fool to want to support a friend, I just hope it doesn't burn them.

And that's after they talked about a lot of his dirty laundry on TV.
