Who from wrestling who’s career is basically over do you wish had a bigger career? For me it would be Alex Riley. I remember first seeing him in FCW and I thought the dude had such a star making look. He was even a decent promo. I thought once he got to NXT season 2 he was going to be the next John Cena lol. Even when he went back to NXT during 2014-2015 I thought he was still going to be a star. It’s a shame his career didn’t really go anywhere. I know he’s doing stuff for NWA but I don’t really see that going anywhere.

Crush. Say what you will, but I always really liked him. Good athlete. Freakish strength. He had some bad finishers, but the rest of his moves looked good, especially the tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He seemed like he was on the verge of breaking into the upper midcard before the Donk feud, then Luger showing him up on the Intrepid, then being treated like fodder for Macho at WM10.

Sean O'Haire. WWE had him but didn't know what to do with him.

Dean Malenko
One of the best ever in the ring, and WCW used him right with the "Iceman" character. He did pretty well in their mid-card, but I think he could've been cycled in as an occasional world title contender.
Less said about his WWE run the better.

Rico had absolutely everything and was super over. Just masterful crowd control. In a fair world he'd be at that John Cena / Batista level now, or at the very least at the Orton one.

Sean O'Haire. WWE had him but didn't know what to do with him. That one is on Sean. He was showing up to live events and television tapings hopped up on goofballs and "Couldn't perform." When contemporary shoots said he "Couldn't do the character live," that's what they meant.

If Matt Bourne as heel Doink counts, that’s my choice.
He absolutely should have had an Undertaker feud.

Said time and time again that Psychosis should have been a big star, instead of known as the guy who always lost to Rey.

I actually prefer Psychosis to Rey, but the crowds always seemed apathetic toward him. It certainly wasn't because they didn't give him enough screen time or try to do things with him. He had a lot of good matches too, but nobody seemed to care.

Hakushi. I know that he was successful in Japan but that character could have easily been a WWF mainstay I feel like.

Am I the only one who could’ve bought Dan Severn as an upper midcarder. Dare I say a one month program with Austin as the Vince approved stooge whose aim is to get the belt off him at all costs.

I wanted to like him in WWE so badly. The badass music fit him perfectly, but he just didn't have EVERYTHING needed to be a top of the card guy. He was excellent in the ring, but he had zero charisma.

Always thought D'Lo Brown could have kicked on and made the move towards the main event, dude was over. I guess the Droz incident and being labelled as a 'Russo guy' put pay to that in the end.

I don't know where this 'nobody cared about Psychosis' thing came from. He got reactions every time it looked like they were about to actually do something with him. Like the time he started the feud with Raven's Flock. Or the time they even suggested giving him a match against Bret Hart. Or when he finally won the Cruiserweight Title. But he never really recovered from the Ultimo Dragon feud. He jobbed to Dragon half a dozen times as a face, turned heel, jobbed half a dozen more times, and as far as I remember never once got the upper hand on Dragon during their feud. He looked like an absolute chump by the time the feud was done.

There's a lot of Shimmer era talent that never really got the long run in major promotions they really deserved.
Cheerleader Melissa couldn't really talk, but she had a presence with in ring talent and its a pity that the Raisha Saeed gimmick and a ho hum run as Alyssa Flash in Impact is as far as she really got.
MsChif by all accounts was happy doing indies while doing her day job as a genetics scientist, but still, it would have cool to see what she could have done in WWE.

If Ken Shamrock stayed with the WWF into the 2000s, he could've had better talent to work with such as Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Tazz, The Radicalz, Rey Mysterio, Brock Lesnar, RVD, Booker T etc etc. He might've been able to benefit from the brand split and carry one of the World Titles.
What's really frustrating is he left right before some of those names arrived, and had an inconclusive feud with Chris Jericho, so we didn't even get to see what those two were capable of. I don't think they even had a match, just Jericho putting him through a table and gave him the Walls of Jericho. 23 years later and that's the last we saw of him.

Pair Steve Blackman with Don Callis as a solo in 1998 or in a tag team with Perry Saturn in 2000 and you have the manliest man to ever man.

I always thought the Headbangers could've been what the Hardy Boys eventually became if the WWF had just gotten behind them more.
Stevie Richards is someone I really thought could've main evented PPV's, but never really got there for a variety of reasons.
I'll second on Crush. I will argue until the end that he should've gotten the big main event babyface push against Yokozuna in the Summer of 93 instead of Lex Luger.
