Brad Armstrong. Always wanted to see him get a good push for a title like the TV Title.
AL Perez was a guy who just looked like a star... when he arrived in JCP he was given Gary Hart as a manager and Manny Fernandez as a partner and just kinda floundered.

I thought Carlito had the potential to be one of the top guys in all of wrestling but it just never happened. The crazy thing is even today he's only 44 but I think of him now as like a relic/fad of the mid-2000s when he's still younger than a lot of current top guys in WWE/AEW/NJPW.
Towards the end of WCW I thought Mike Sanders was going to be one of the top stars in wrestling for the next 10-15 years. When I watch him back now though I don't get what I ever saw. He got a ton of mic time but he was nothing special at all. He could talk but he had little in the way of charisma and was (not even above!) average in the ring.

Always thought D'Lo Brown could have kicked on and made the move towards the main event, dude was over. I guess the Droz incident and being labelled as a 'Russo guy' put pay to that in the end. I've always said D'Lo Brown's biggest downside was that he happened to have his breakout in the same stable, right about the same time as The Rock. He was great, but got majorly overshadowed as the biggest star in the business' history came to the fore.

As a kid, I always enjoyed the smaller guys more, but as an adult I think we had a lot of misses on hosses in the 90's. Vader seemed to be just reaching his peak in WCW and fell apart. And I know a lot of people say it was due to the Mr. Wonderful fight or the Hogan politics or the Shawn politics, but regardless the result was this really unique act becoming just another guy over time. Same with Sid. Sid was a world champ in both promotions, but was never a mainstream type guy. Look, size, impactful moveset, cliche wrestling promos; he had it all! Maybe could have been a megastar if not for a crippling softball addiction. Smaller time, but Bryan Clarke. You would think dropping that guy in a shallow, mid-90's card working for the biggest body guy in the history of the industry would be a lay-up. Should have been an IC title holder who put over any number of smaller talents. Said time and time again that Psychosis should have been a big star, instead of known as the guy who always lost to Rey. Psycosis was incredible. And he's one of those guys whose work holds up because he was so influential. Never really had innate charisma or a good character, but shit, did Mongo for the better part of his run? And they gave him the US title. As well as early Konnan who didn't really talk. He was more deserving of the Kidman push than Kidman IMO.

I always thought the Headbangers could've been what the Hardy Boys eventually became if the WWF had just gotten behind them more. They probably had a higher ceiling than WWE allowed them, but they definitely did not have the Hardys' working ability, or The Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian to feud with.

By the time that division heated up around 99-2000, they were already old hat.

Shark Boy. The gimmick was over and he moved a lot if merch. He should have gotten to be x division champ, or tag champ. Also would have loved if wwe had signed him to team with Hurricane.

Laser Tron - His highlight was teaming with Jimmy Valiant. Deserved better.
The Barbarian - Best member of the Paul Jones Army. Deserved a run with either the National or TV title.
Bam Bam Bigelow - Should've been IC champ or US champ in 1988.

If America's Most Wanted (Harris/Storm) happened in WWE, I think both of them probably would've been made men. I cannot believe that James Storm never got a strong singles run for Vince. But, I still think they flopped on Roode too so there's that.

After watching the DSOR Episode i really learned how good Chris Kanyon really seem to be. It's not like he would have been like a huge top Guy anyway around that Era in WWE. Let's be real when was he there again? 03? That was like still Peak... No way he would have been huge in that Era but i could have seen him as IC Champ.
That Gay Character thing mabye is a different talk idk about that. But Kanyon still was a great In-Ring talent. He had some skills and look, they totally could have done more with him. Such a shame how things ended for him. RIP

Christian as a singles wrestler mabye? His heel run in 2011 was freaking good. I know he had his Prime in Tna most likely.

Abyss could've been a WWE main eventer given they were still trotting out the likes of Kane & Big Show into the mid 2010s if he just went there earlier. Or at least he could've been a bigger deal in TNA if they just did more to protect him (physically and with his character).
I also feel like a bunch of WWE midcarders in the mid 2000s could've done more. They're like a lost generation. I just saw a bit of Mark Jindrak in 2005 and he still had room to develop but he could've been a high quality midcard heel for years to come. At least he made a good career for himself in Mexico.

I thought Chris Masters should've went a lot further then he did. Obviously he had the look and the size but I thought he had talent as well both in ring and on the microphone. Unfortunately after he flunked a couple of piss test's they just gave up on him completely even when he came back and was consistently having good matches as a face on Superstars all the time.

Agree with Ken Shamrock and always thought it was a shame that he left just as he had got the whole package together. I'd go so far as to say he could have been WWF champion during Austin's injured period.
Also, X Pac. He's always my answer to these things. I can't believe he wasn't even IC champion when everyone got a go at that title back then

Carlito. Eventually he didn’t give a damn and it showed.

If Test had gotten off the pills I think he'd have done just as well in Japan as his former tag partner and that could set him up nicely for a strong push in his final WWE run (unlike his former tag partner).

Lash Leroux wasn’t spectacular or anything, but he was a solid hand in late WCW and it’s a shame he never made it to television as part of the Invasion. A fun babyface and a memorable persona.
However, Kanyon has quietly become my pick of late WCW midcarders who deserved the world. Ultra talented and fairly charismatic, and someone who could work well as a face or a heel. He’s probably the talent hurt the most by WCW closing and there being no comparable promotion for nearly 20 years. The right guy in the wrong era.

Am I the only one who could’ve bought Dan Severn as an upper midcarder. Dare I say a one month program with Austin as the Vince approved stooge whose aim is to get the belt off him at all costs. I wanted to like him in WWE so badly. The badass music fit him perfectly, but he just didn't have EVERYTHING needed to be a top of the card guy. He was excellent in the ring, but he had zero charisma. Which made him perfect as a Vince stooge.
