It's kind of surreal that the biggest major injury Darby has had recently, after all the stunts and spots over the last few months/year is...a broken foot. It's like being a high flyer and getting an injury over a hip toss. I can relate. You know what injury in training convinced me not to keep going last year? Rolling my ankle walking down the ring steps and popping 4 bones in my foot.

Never been happier to hear someone's broken their foot. I'm gonna be honest, some of what Darby said in his promo did make me worry that he was going up there maybe not with a sense that mortality was possible but potentially as an outcome he'd be at peace with? I don't know, he seemed to linger on the idea of death in a very "I'm not above throwing myself off the peak" kind of way, might just be me being grim. Either way, him being off of Everest time for a year and doing wrestling again means he can taken normal risks like juggling dynamite sticks during moonsaults and doing skateboard leaps over the open mouths of dragons. Ehh, I think it was more "I really have to be aware of the fact there's a real possibility I could actually die here".

I landed on it after a dropkick to a someone holding a kick pad. And landed on a crash mat. Somehow I still did training until the pandemic hit and didn’t flee out of embarrasment.

That sucks, but this is Darby. He'll get better and go for it, then come back and dive into a pool filled with MDickie-style dynamite.

It's very wrestling for Darby to do a million crazy stunts and he ultimately gets injured doing a regular match.

Jay needs to come out with a shirt that says “I saved Darby Allin’s life” or something. Then paint Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed as the bad guys for trying to stop him.
Then Juice returns with obviously photoshopped pictures of him climbing Everest before Darby could.

One thing I'm curious about is whether or not the post match angle with the chair & bat was an audible? Hell of a coincidence if not!

That's why I roll my eyes whenever someone says that all of these crazy dives today are so dangerous and should be almost banned. This is wrestling we're talking about; you can get injured on the most innocent move.

She’s been a maniac for so many years, taken so many crazy neck bumps in particular. Yet the one major injury she sustained, was doing a super mundane move that many wrestlers do a million times.

Mundane stuff is generally more dangerous because people start just going through the motions.
