You'd expect the Anniversary Show to be where they announce it

I hope WBD gives AEW an extra 6 months on their new deal simply for the Bitch Bucks/Callis Family match tonight.

Delirious? Maybe to book just ROH with TK being busy with Dynamite, Collision and Shockwave.
Delirious works for Impact, so no. Got Jimmy Jacobs and RD Evans, though.

I don't get the desire people have for D'Amore to be given the book in AEW. Like I look at TNA and the goofy stuff they've done under his watch and the last thing I think is 'get him in AEW'. But I want AEW to be more sports based so that's probably clouding my judgement of him in AEW.

He also booked the Moose/Alexander feud and the X-Division and Knockouts back in the day when they were the best things in mainstream wrestling by mile. One of the better things about D'Amore as a booker is his range

I'd be asking people like Chris Hero, Jimmy Jacobs, Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, and Nigel McGuiness if they wanted a hand in booking ROH going forward. I'd rather ROH have more of a 2006-2007 ROH feel than a 2012 NXT feel.

I’ll keep saying again; the pandemic was the best thing to happen to WWE. With how AEW basically handed NXT its ass consistently and attendances going down at the end of 2019-2020, imagine how the company would be right now if Vince was still there and HHH was exiled from the company? Still the powerhouse it is now but nowhere near in the position it is now. So it’s rich to act like competition isn’t needed right now because competition was the reason it got to where it was at all. I find it Ironic that Konnan is tearing down AEW. Didn't he help a start up company against a Monopoly? You know, AAA?

With them wanting to get into Mexico and Rey, Dom, and now the Lucha Bros. there, he's seeing a prime spot in WWE as their Vice President of Latin America Xpansion or some shit.

One of the better things about D'Amore as a booker is his range D'Amore and Callis pretty much saved Impact from the death throes that Dixie Carter and Billy Pumpkins put the company in and they did damn good things under their watch. And D'Amore continued that once Callis left for AEW. The way TNA fired him after he pushed hard to get the TNA name back and did everything to revive that company from irrelevance is a slap in the face.

Didn't he help a start up company against a Monopoly? You know, AAA? It's easy to be against the monopoly when you're a young guy being told 'We're going to keep pushing old dudes, no', but I don't think he ever had any real ideological care one way or another. Like, Pena didn't form AAA to take down a monopoly, he did it because his idea to have younger, more athletic guys be the draw wasn't accepted and he didn't get head booker. We see that historically now as a good move because the late '90s would be taken over by a flood of Mexican trailblazers and lucha style crossed the border in a huge way. But it was a dude who had ideas his boss ignored Now, Konnan's backstage crew, he's head booker, he's a guy with his hands in talents' pockets, and he's shown that what he wants with that is just to consolidate that. Getting into bed with AEW was valuable until he saw an opportunity to get into bed with WWE instead. It does more for his podcast to make up shit about Tony Khan than it does to work with him. Claim Tony never sent him big stars like Kenny Omega specifically despite Kenny having worked six AAA matches in four years when two of those years were an international lockdown and he had multiple health crises outside of that. It's all about opportunity, not any sort of higher purpose, never has been. That's true I think for most people in wrestling. Danielson's very specific focus on what's healthiest for the business to the point of saying he'd go back to WWE if they were like totally in the toilet and AEW was undeniably on top, is an exception.

With them wanting to get into Mexico and Rey, Dom, and now the Lucha Bros. there, he's seeing a prime spot in WWE as their Vice President of Latin America Xpansion or some shit. At the very least, he's certainly paying attention to WWE's interest with Impact and Marigold and probably wants to be in position to be their Mexico expansion partner. As much of a prick as he can be, he'd probably be high on their list, anyway, because he's very close with Rey, and since CMLL has their own commitments that'd likely remove them from contention. If WWE wants partners, AAA has a chance. If WWE wants footholds for their domination, they might try for someone like The Crash with an eye towards a takeover.

Meltzer: "The deal is a clear victory for Tony Khan and AEW and pretty much guarantees them profitability for the next three years."

Zarian said on Mat Men that Rampage appears to be cancelled, Shockwave will be a new one-hour block but isn't sure if it'll replace Rampage on WBD or be on another network. And AEW + AEW PPVs on Max from January.
I don't know if any of that is new but it's his latest.
