They were really fun and breezy shows; if you've enjoyed the more jokey tone Dynamite commentary's taken, that was a result of Taz and Excalibur getting too comfortable with each other because of what they were doing on Dark. It was usually post-production commentary with lots of shorter matches they could just do non-stop jokes on, so the real hook of it was to listen to them just non-stop riff on stuff and say pure nonsense because it wasn't really an important show so they were allowed to. It's where the (X) Jones bit from Taz went in to overdrive.

Dark was a good show to throw on when you just needed something to watch for a bit. An easy, light watch that was good fun and you didn’t need to pay a lot of attention. Maybe there’d be one through line storyline to keep your interest.

As expected, Fightful Select is reporting that promotional materials have been made and the deal will be announced as soon as this afternoon barring some crazy turn of events.

I would rather see Dark back than ROH personally. Unless ROH gets a TV deal and becomes very different to the extent NXT is within WWE, I view ROH or Dark as 'one must go' as they fill a similar role within the content-heavy AEW universe. it'd reduce the title overload and be free to watch so more people would see it. And it'd force them to bring back Athena to AEW.

Anyway, you'll hear a lot of huff-and-puffing today is the day the anti-AEW grifters move those goalposts. My guess is 'AEW worth only 1/5 of WWE!' or 'Rampage cancelled! WBD unhappy! Collision next?' (even though Shockwave will probably be a more lucrative replacement for Rampage).

That'll happen almost immediately I'm sure, "it's not a long deal, absolutely no faith in the product from WBD!". Unfortunately there won't be much of a sign of them losing their shit, they'll just move the goalposts, but they'll be dying inside as a fair few of them seemed really convinced the company was about to disappear for good. Odd bunch.

Fightful Select has learned that promotional materials are prepared the AEW and WBD deal announcement is happening as soon as this afternoon unless things change.

Beyond the Bell's Andrew Zarian has reported extensively on the deal as well. SRS & Jimmy will be breaking down the deal on The Hump at 2 PM ET provided it is announced.

Please remember we can not control who has reported that the AEW-WBD is "coming imminently" prior, and this is out first announcement of such.

Update: Fightful Select and Beyond the Bell have learned that AEW Dynamite and Collision will be simulcast on Max starting in January.

There will be some integration of AEW PPVs for MAX subscribers, though we aren't sure if those are included with a subscription or discounted.

Early indications were that TruTv and AEW Rampage weren't included in the upcoming announcement.

Simulcasting on MAX is a great sign. We will still need to see if it on the live streaming tier of MAX. It would be great, if it was like Fite and there are no commercials.
