$1.2 billion. These days, that's a bag of Doritos and almost a whole tank of gas.

Yeah, the initial deal was $50m and the reworked deal in January was $175m which in itself was surreal at the time, especially since it was only 3 months since Dynamite debuted. Can someone who likes numbers do the math to tell me how much of a percentage of an increase is from the initial deal? $50 million is 5% of a billion so that's a 2000% increase.

Even if the PPVs are available 30 days (or whatever) later and the previous PPVs are available along with weekly shows... that will definitely sweeten Max for me and make it easy to keep subscribed. I’m thinking PPVs are definitely being folded into Max and being held more frequently (maybe 10-12 per year) as incentive to subscribe to Max. Their backlog would seemingly not be enough to have much value without the live PPVs being added.

I have a feeling if the WB/Discovery upfront gets cancelled, I could see AEW announcement of the new show during Double or Nothing

Warner Rep: What? Mr. Khan agreed to pay US $1 billion to get his shows on our service.
Nick Khan: My job here is done.

But what happens if the Upfront is cancelled due to the Writers Strike? How will they announce it? During Dynamite or Rampage or will they have to delay the announcement to during Double Or Nothing just before the main event?

Upfronts aren't going to be cancelled for the Writers Strike.

Upfronts aren't going to be cancelled for the Writers Strike. Yeah, this idea that they are is silly, mostly because the only thing they really need is a bunch of executives talking about stuff and maybe an actor here and there to say "Hey people who work in advertising or whatever, I'm here to talk about _______" so they'll be fine.

I was already worried about Saturday as a show date for Collision, and having it occasionally be filmed increases that concern.

The important parts of the upfronts will be written by PR people and legal teams, not scriptwriters.
And I'm laughing at the news that Punk is apparently pushing for another return match other than Jericho.

I wonder if Collision will air on Thursday when for example they clash vs WWE PPVs although that you mean they will fk over Impact.

Trying to sell tickets for back to back nights of wrestling in the same city is going to be a tough sell.
With the brand split seemingly happening you will just end up with fans choosing the brand they want to see, this is why they need separate tours for each show which are each hitting up different cities.

I really hope Collision is live on Saturdays as much as possible. Personally, it would be such a great live experience. I would love to be able to drink a beer or eight and yell at the rasslers without having to work the next day. All the Dynamites I have been to are a blast, but it's not the same. And a lot of my friends would be more likely to go if they can do the same. Usually when I text them about going to the matches the WWE weekend house shows get way more interest just because of the day of the week.

Hopefully this means that more wrestlers and feuds get some time
Swerve in our Glory breaking up I thought for sure was gonna lead to a highly personal feud between the two with a spotlight for both
Sure as hell didn’t see it leading to Keith forming a tag team with Dustin Rhodes

I can see Thursdays being done only to help with travel if you're not doing a brand split and want talent to work both shows in the same week. Otherwise, go with Saturday since that's an easier night to sell tickets.
