I think the keeping people apart stuff is just a bonus, they're not doing another 2 hour show purely for that reason. It could work perfectly, you want to bring guys like Punk back and at around the time you're getting a new show and need a big name to get it going, and can largely stop the heat by having them spend much less time together. But if they're doing a hard split it's to get different guys TV time, the people who have heat with each other would have probably been kept pretty separate even if it was soft split based on previous reports so don't see it as a bigger issue now they've changed the wording.
Love the logo on that announcement as a side note.

Who would have ever thought that 20 years after the Turner networks washed their hands of wrestling, not only would they once again be airing three wrestling shows across TNT and TBS, but the damn logo of the Saturday night program would be channeling the ghost of WCW?
As a WCW fan, I feel like we had to play the long game, but we ultimately came out on top.

Really is weird seeing Andrade so prominent there. The whole "Tony's a BITCH" thing wears pretty thin with me but the dude does seem like he can be a big old walkover, maybe just too nice for his own good. Cos with Punk you think yeah, awful what he did but he'll make you money, Miro, pretty bad if the reports are true but we don't entirely know the story and he seemed to just be pitched losses to an array of different guys so maybe had some right to hold his ground, but Andrade? Really thought he was done. Massive talent for sure but jesus there's a lot of people with issues on that poster. Still, guess it's best to keep them together if they need to be kept and in a big period for the company I guess you don't want to be losing anyone who'll bring eyes to the product.

In practice, it may invoke Nitro in terms of the green crates in Crash Bandicoot that will explode if you touch them, judging by the talent that may make up its roster. |

Keep Punk, his sycophants, and the egotists who won't play ball quarantined to their own locker room and let shit play out naturally. Miro- Asshole who shit on the company and it's employees by refusing to work
CM Punk- Asshole who shit on the company and the people who work there openly
Andrade- Asshole who shit on the company and punched another employee in attempt to be fired to join a different company
This show really is the Island of Misfit Toys, if all the toys were dickheads who work for the biggest pushover in the land.
EDIT: Holy hell, I forgot to mention Thunder Rosa, yet another person who seems like she might be a bit of an asshole, according to some folks

I don't think they'll see getting another two hours of live TV as an expensive hassle, I'm almost certain they'll see it as a massive positive plus, as I said in another post, they'd had surely kept the guys who don't get along separate even with a soft brand split. There's definitely the argument some of these guys should have just been fired but I don't think Tony's gone crawling on his knees begging for more TV purely so he can keep these people apart. |
