So what sort of special movies do you guys wish you could make that might qualify as "Passion Projects" or something similar? Maybe there wouldn't be a reason to make them logistically, maybe no one would watch it or there's no audience for them, but you on a personal level reallly wish you could make the movie anyway because its something you love and believe in. Budgets be damned. Me, personally, I want to make a live action adaptation of the game S.P.A.N.C.(Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls). A fun, sexy space romp with many pretty actresses in cat girl makeup fighting robots and other interstellar enemies all while being space pirates and learning of their origins on their home planet of Amazonian Catgirls. How about you, fellow Fannonites?

I would make a movie that finishes the original Reboot show. It's fi al season was supposed to be 3 tv movies. That got reduced to two and the show ended on a cliffhanger.

A big budget remake of Plan 9 from Outer Space with A-list actors and modern special effects, but still with the exact same script.

I always wanted to do a movie based on Marvel's early 90s Sleepwalker character, done in the style of a film like SUSPIRIA.

At some point I legitimately wanna write a script based on my 2 years living in an apartment building that I fondly refer to as a "hippie commune" because of the 12 or 13 apartments in the building myself and various friends rented 8 of them. We had open door policies, people were always coming and going, lots of booze, drugs and debauchery. Pretty much always had at least one "couch dweller". It was a very interesting time in my life, and I would love to make a film out of the story at some point.

Man, so many ideas. Right now though the one in the forefront of my mind is my Batman alien abduction movie. Basically Batman, Spoiler, Cluemaster, Mr. Freeze, Solomon Grundy, Nocturna and a bunch of innocent Gotham civilians are kidnapped by the alien Dominators and brought aboard their spaceship for experimentation in preparation for a massive alien invasion. Batman has to escape, team-up with the villains, rescue the civilians, seize control of the ship and return to Earth to warn of the invasion plans. No more of this "I want a Batman that could exist in the real world" crap. This is a Batman that fights swamp monsters and punches aliens.

Less a movie, more of a show in the vein of Stranger Things but I want live action Animorphs series with good CGI.
If we're strictly sticking with movies, I'd love to get a script based on The Girl Who Owned a City going.

A full gothic adaptation of Macbeth complete with graphic battle scenes
An animated adaptation of Jodorowskyβs Dune
A modern day remake of the miniseries Fall of Eagles about the lead up to the First World War
Possibly an animated adaptation of parts of The Silmarillion, I donβt think it would lend itself to live action

Been stuck in development hell for years and years. I'd say Rendezvous with Rama but Denis Villeneuve is doing it!

Masters of the Universe live action.
I've played the opening scene in my head so many times.
Just an aerial view of the beautiful forests of Eternia. Camera eventually zooms into Adam resting on the grass, leaned up against a sleeping Cringer.
Lazy, idyllic Adam is destined to be a hero? How can that be?
I'd then play up the "Mightiest Man in the Universe" element and have He-Man perform feats of strength that outclass any MCU or DCEU characters onscreen.
I'd also want He-Man to act with wisdom and benevolence, as the transformation also imbibed him with all the collective knowledge of the ancient Guardians of Grayskull, and not be a teenager in a stronger body, making juvenile wise-cracks.
Homage is paid to Filmation by filming He-Man punch the camera to break through a wall, and the Sword of Power is magical piece of Eternian metal, rather than a mechanical entity like in later iterations
I would also link in the overtones of the Filmation cartoon- He-Man is YOUR friend, audience, YOU are joining his adventures. You're not observing from afar.
Post credits scene has to be a moral tale, "In today's episode friends, we saw that Skeletor..."

A sequel to Dredd, probably as a TV series.
A hard boiled, R-rated crime show set in the Star Wars universe.
Remake Meteor Man, The Shadow, and The Phantom.

"Killdozer 2".
Or a movie based on the story of "Naked Came The Stranger", a novel that was on the NYT Best Seller list for a few months in the early 70s, written by Newsweek writers, to show that the top selling books in the US were poory written exploitation trash for bored housewives. The movie would be the story behind the writing, and linking the scenes would be acts from the actual book, starring big time Hollywood stars as the books' characters (each scene has the main character played by a different actress, because in the book her appearance changes from chapter to chapter, that's how intentionally bad they wrote the book).
