Even if the quality may have dropped or you’re just not super into
I was thinking this the other day, as I was feeling of blue at work, went on my break and I decided to watch the latest nostalgia critic episode while on my lunch. Despite all drama around channel awesome and the recent sentiment towards doug walker, it just gave me comfort to sit down and watch.
I still feel a nice surprised whenever the Avgn pops up on my newest episodes feed.
Despite the apparent of daytime tv, I grew to relove the price is right. Started watching let’s make a deal. It’s just nice when up in the morning and have that on in the background. If I miss a day, I cast it from cbs app and watch on the weekend.
I still watch Maury when I can. Show technically ended already but that final episode was taped in September and they never said which one was the last one, so it’s all new to me and still feels current since they’re still referencing 2022 events
Of course there’s pro wrestling. I complain about the never ending story, but sometimes it’s just nice to have on when you come home at night on a Saturday or Sunday night and watch a ppv/ple or even a rampage on demand

The Price Is Right. I just like that aside from Drew hosting, it hasn't really changed in the last 40+ years.

For me... Family Guy. I know a lot of people in here hate it now, but it's such an easy watch and most of the time, even if the show is bad, it will get one or two chuckles out of me.

RAW is a shitty ass show.
But when Monday Night Football is bad (or out of season), RAW normally ends up being watched... at least in the background.

Oddly, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. They're horrible people but their antics never cease to amuse

Days Of Our Lives often makes no sense, but I still catch it when I get a chance. Won't count cause we don't know its fate yet, but shorter term, Young Rock was like this. I know it takes liberties with history, TO SAY THE LEAST, and some of the actors/actresses look like cosplayers, but it's good light entertainment. Plus Brett Azar is a really cool guy. Most of the game show revivals (if that counts) now on the networks. Not all of them are quite like the 80s or whatever, but still enjoy them. Agree about Nostalgia Critic. When it's a topic I can get into, the videos are still good. I'm appreciating James as himself, but still like new AVGN videos too.

I'll also throw in my hat for still enjoying AVGN. Sure the videos don't hit like they used to but then I'm not a bored 20 year old slacker anymore either.

The Sky at Night I’ve not watched many episodes over the years but the fact that it’s still on and has been since the late 1950s makes me happy.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I'll bring it up every time a similar question is asked:
Impractical Jokers, all day, everyday.
From 2020 until basically today, I went through the worst depression you can imagine. There were days on end when I couldn't even leave my bed for more than just using the bathroom. My entire life and being just absolutely fell apart after decades, and especially the last 5 years, of untreated anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I'm much better now. Still not how I used to be, but I probably never really will be again. My mind just sorta broke and I'll likely spend the rest of my life slowly gluing pieces of my old self back together.
Anyway, during the height of it, I somehow wound up with an HBO Max subscription. And even though I rarely watch anything on TV, I would sometimes put something on in the background, just to kill the silence. One day, I saw IJ on the list and decided to throw it on, as I had a vague memory of liking some episodes I saw when it was still pretty new.
I started watching, and I actually smiled a little, and even let out a chuckle here and there. So, I just kept using it as my background noise until I realized one day that I was actually kinda looking forward to it, which in itself almost made me break down. The fact that it managed to make me smile on a lot of days when I probably wouldn't have otherwise made me a fan for life.
I still have my HBO Max subscription, and will until they remove the show. It's 100% the reason I have it. I still watch it frequently, keeping up with new episodes and watching the old stuff too. It reminds me so much of being young and hanging out with my friends, and the goofy shit we would do.
Me coming out of my funk came down to 4 things in my mind: The undying, unwavering support of my girlfriend, my mom, my dog, and the smiles that Impractical Jokers managed to drag out of me.
Joe Gatto is actually coming to my town in a few months, and I'm planning on getting one of the meet and greet packages for his show. I missed the rest of the guys when they came through awhile back, but they should be back through again soon, and I plan on doing the same thing. I just want the opportunity to shake their hands and say thanks for making me laugh during a time when I absolutely didn't think I even could.

Critical Role is such a spark in my life during the week. Almost always have something to look forward to during even the worst weeks. Hell, rewatching past campaigns keeps me sane.

Grew up watching Young and the Restless and Bold and the Beautiful and those two will probably always be something I watch, it's still soothing to see some familiar faces I've known since I was little.
