Anyone who bases their whole brand on being "anti-woke" is a clown. It sells unfortunately. Wonder what happened with Arnolt as she was quite openly an ally at one stage. Maybe the anti-PC dollar was irresistible. There's sadly a number of people who claim to be allies of the LGBQA but draw the line at the "T." They've sadly become more emboldened in recent years. Hate festering hate. Even within the trans community you have pick-mes who align with anti-trans circles and become their go-to "trans friend" because they themselves try to dictate all these "rules" like "unless you're passing, you're not trans." Like that c*** Kelly Cadigan who has become to the trans community what Milo was to the gay community. There's also a number of people who just enjoy exploiting being seen at big events. There's a "model" out here in Minneapolis who made it a point to be everywhere at Pride events last year and made sure to have her picture taken in front of a lot of rainbows and queer establishments who a few weeks back went on a public rant that "Gay people shouldn't be allowed to read to children at the library." |

It’s dangerous ground when we start basing our fandom on wrestlers perceived political leanings/views because I’d bet that some of our favorites have outright terrible views on things but have just been smart enough to not put it out there. Regardless of what TK believes I would hope that he’s smart enough not to appear on Outkick solely for the PR nightmare if nothing else. That eventually turns into "Your silence is deafening". |

AEW giving Outkick of all things a platform is one of the few things that the company could do that would make me seriously reconsider being a fan. I can tolerate a lot of silliness in wrestling, but I draw the line at providing outright bigots a platform.

There's just a lot of shitty "allies" out there. People who say they're an ally just for clout with their Gen Z and Millennial audience (like that "model" you mentioned) but don't actually mean anything. Those who claim to be allies but also don't do even the bare minimum to show allyship besides saying "I'm an ally!" And I mean little shit like respecting someone's pronoun choices or speaking up when one of their straight friends makes a tasteless homophobic "joke." Those who make excuses for any and all things that would be at worst a minor inconvenience when it comes to make a stand for support.
