Had the feeling the viewership wasnt going increase much because the NHL affects the 50 year+ demo.

Great rating - 18-49 up around 15%.

Decent bounceback in the demo from last week but still down .03 in the demo and 80,000+ viewers from last year

AEW really can't wait for Vaderpump Rules to end, that shit came out of nowhere and is just dominating the charts and the demo they usually seek lol
Good to see the demo get a charge back though

They were doing well until the final 2 QHs, people tuned out after the Cole/Jericho segment, imo Garcia vs Roddy shouldve happened on Rampage, instead idk couldve put a Hardys promo hyping their match before LBs vs BCC.
Kinda funny how FTR vs Jarrett crew has done well ratings wise(you could attribute it to Mark Briscoe too).

I like how you said FTR vs Jarret because thats how I feel about the feud honestly that storyline was booked very well. Strong is just a big spotlight on TK's biggest issue as a booker. he had opportunity to use many talents that are over for that slot. Yet he gives a gigantic win to Strong and two big singles match, which nobody cares. Also a big strenght of his booking: once again Cassidy f***ing retains viewers.

Are people really saying that once Vanderpump ends then Dynamite ratings will go up? Is there really a huge number of people who watch a spin-off reality show about some Real Housewives woman who will now go “ah well, better get back to watching wrestling.”

I don't know or care about ratings but how would Vanderpump Rules affect the Dynamite rating since it's unlikely to be the same people watching?

A show like that can't build an audience that large without having a good crossover among different demographics so it has some effect. Dave has noted that the female demo tends to go down when it's on so a plausible theory is the men in the house watch AEW while their female partners watch that.

Roddy's a fantastic wrestler, but he's bland af. The most personality he's shown was in the Diamond Mine ACTING segments, and he had the least personality out of the group. Guy who's a fantastic wrestler isn't a unique character in wrestling today. And Daniel Garcia, they killed him the moment they kept him heel. He had momentum, the crowd behind him, and instead of turning him face they kept heel and with the JAS.

Roddy's been over with crowds, his Jericho match drew, and Garcia's been over as a heel since he stayed heel, and his character has only gotten to grow more because of it So don't really agree here, and as I've said before, blaming the wrestlers for a ratings drop never sits right with me. Vaderpump started at about 9, it coincides with the drop. Either way it's hard to blame a wrestler or a singular thing for drops, even if it's easy when you don't like the wrestler, I guess. But Roddy's been doing just fine, and some guys should probably win matches out the gate instead of losing a ton on TV, and like it or not Roddy's a very reliable, and still very good wrestler, and these wins help him and help others when he loses, so idk, doesn't bother me and it also doesn't to me highlight a "booking weakness" or "Someone else should be getting this" when the whole feud is Cole and Rddy vs JAS, and the matches highlight that. They're old friends, it probably should be happening that way. All this to say Roddy is not a ratings poison and Garcia isn't dead, not by a long shot lol

I find it hard to square the logic that you can credit a wrestler for a ratings spike, but it's unfair to even suggest that a drop might have had something to do with them. Surely it's all fair game or it isn't?
