Oh my gosh, now there’s absolutely no time constraints for Raw. Gets ready for 30 minute overruns and almost 4 hour Raws I mean, there are still venue/state and city restrictions which I don't think Amazon even have the power to ignore those without much work.

Or they can pad out the commercials better so it doesn't go to commercial during a match or the dreaded entrance, commercial, video package, match format. hmm... I wonder if losing Raw could cause USA to go "Hey Smackdown, you want some more money? how do you feel about 3 hour smackdowns?"

I'm waiting for the Raw/Invincible crossover. You thought Super Cena was something, wait until we get Onmi-Omos.

And there had been talk earlier on that Raw and maybe Smackdown wouldn't necessarily stay on Monday and Friday respectively, right? Yeah, Nick Khan said he was open to the idea, even if he said it in the "lack of real solid answer" sort of way. I think it'll end up staying on Monday because, as mentioned, the younger demo is more likely to find it at that time than the older but you also want to keep that consistent day wherever you end up. I can't imagine Raw would ever move nights since it's very firmly established on Mondays for it's entire history, and at the very least, is risky for any platform that would want to do that, even if the lure of not competing with the NFL on Mondays is there. SmackDown, on the other hand, has a history of moving depending on the whims of which channel is airing it, so USA moving it out of Fridays and into a traditionally better night for TV is definitely possible.

This would absolutely never happen but I'm kind of hoping for the insane comedy move of each of the three networks choosing to put their respective WWE show on at the exact same time.

If moved to Prime Video this increases the chance of me watching Raw. From 0% to 2%.
And if Prime Video is the worst UI you have ever seen wow.

Oddly enough I was actually thinking of dropping Prime in a bit, given I don't really make a lot of purchases off Amazon anymore; can't blame them if Amazon is backing up the Brinks truck but this makes things pretty interesting on the cable front, too - I'm sure Raw will still be on a Monday, but does this change any traditional viewing patterns? Changes mine. I haven’t had cable in many years now. Only catch RAW in parts if I’m at my parents. Or if I’m on the clock app and someone is streaming it then I have to find the person who won’t talk over most of the show. Might actually watch in full if it’s easily accessible to me again.

It's a mix of how it seems to be literally completely impossible to see everything on the service or even just within a single genre on the site itself, instead having to use something like Just Watch to do so, while they did eventually fix this one for the longest time how separate seasons were listed as separate shows, and how searching is utterly goddamn useless due to also bringing up stuff available for purchase. I genuinely can't think of one single good thing to say about the way the service is laid out and kind of find it genuinely impossible to wrap my head around the idea that the service is remotely usable because they seem to go actively out of their way to keep you from finding anything that isn't a show they specifically want to push at the moment. Like say what you will about Netflix, and its UI sucks too, but at least if you search for something and it pops up you can reliably count on actually being able to watch it without giving them additional money.

Like say what you will about Netflix, and its UI sucks too, but at least if you search for something and it pops up you can reliably count on actually being able to watch it without giving them additional money. For me it works. But usually I know what I am gonna watch before I goto Prime. Like say I want to see 80s cult classic Suburbia look hey it is on Prime. The one with a crap UI for me is Max. Major lag between when I hit a button and it responds and that is over 3 devices. And at least once every film the audio goes from 5.1 to mono and you gotta back out of the film and go back in to fix it. The old Highspots Network had a crap UI. I just like Prime Video. It is the version of getting to the video store late on a Friday and all the new releases are rented,so you go into the back catalog. Like what other streaming service has Gas Pump Girls,Chasing Ghosts and 3 of the 17 Witchcraft films? Prime Video! It is like TUBI but with less Asylum stuff.

If RAW goes to Amazon then I can absolutely see AEW moving Dynamite or Collision to a Monday
Even if RAW would stay on Monday Nights, I have to imagine especially for Collision that taking the Monday at 8 Cable spot would be way too good to pass up for them and Warner, it's a built in fanbase who watches wrestling at that set time.

Monday Night Football Plus, removing the NFL aspect, if Raw moves to Amazon it would more than likely still be airing live on Monday nights. So you’re still firing the first shot in a new Monday Night War and that does not seem like a good f***ing idea.

I don't see RAW getting the same viewership on Prime that they would on Cable, likely a lot of people would still watch the AEW show or even watch both because they would be able to. I don't think they're gonna care about the MNF part of the year. I think if you're going off of what Collision's ceiling is on Saturdays more often then not, it should in theory be a big gain in viewership even if they'd go up again RAW on a streaming service. I don't know if they could pass it up This is of course if RAW went to Prime and stayed on Monday too, no telling if they would but it'd be interesting...

With how for example Collision does against PLEs, that’d be awfully dumb to permanently run against them…

Collision even airing on the same day as streaming-only WWE events kills their numbers. Also consider that the core demo is much more likely to have streaming subs and the older demos left behind don't really watch AEW anyway. If Raw is Prime Video was still on Mondays, it'd be a really bad idea. And that's not factoring in the elephant in the room that is Monday Night Football.
If WWE moves Raw to another night with this new deal, then there's a discussion to be had. But otherwise? It's a self-inflicted wound.

Yeah, unless WWE is off Mondays entirely - which is exceedingly unlikely since even if Raw moved nights USA would probably take that as a cue to put SmackDown in that same timeslot - then AEW should stay way the hell away. Even NXT PPVs earlier in the day wreck Collision's ratings.

Tony has also been clear, no Mondays or Thursdays against the NFL.
